I'm enjoying a nice wine called Moscato. I wish they would sell it on the site here some time. Give it a try some time. If you enjoy a sweet wine. Try it both cold and at room temp. I find it teats different at different temps. Try & Enjoy.

They likely won't offer a moscato on wine.woot because it's relatively cheap anyway, leaving little room for profit for them or a deal for us. By the way, Moscato has become quite popular among rappers. Cristal wanted to separate themselves from the scene, successfully did so, and Moscato stepped right up.

There is Moscato available as part of the current Woot Plus offers, but not alone -- only as one variety in a multi-pack.

How are you liking it?

I'm drinking '07 Lang Wines Barbera with Chinese food (Kung Pao chicken with fried dumplings + the usual egg roll, fried rice and won-ton soup). OK, the food part was finished a few hours ago but I'm still sipping on the wine.

Wasn't the best pairing (other than with the dumplings) but the wine itself is solid. Another great QPR offering from Lang Wines.

I do think that was my favorite of the 2007s. As As I recall you do have to get past the tannins, the massive tannins.

That Paeonia was one of my earlier woots, not sure how much longer I can hang on to the one remaining bottle.

Good call, I am also hanging onto 1 last bottle. It ranks right up there with Kent's LH Viognier and La Miel de Jonata.

Sad that Shadow Canyon is no more, there was talk at the time of the offer that he might start things back up again but I guess it didn't work out for him. I recently bought a bottle of '05 Shadow Canyon Rosé from HDH (they of the killer Jonata deal) just because I could.

The tannins were silky smooth, it was a really nice bottle. Luckily I have one more bottle of this, and a couple of other years to try (have a bunch of MM to work through).

This Vin de Pays is a blend of merlot and syrah. It's interesting because it weaves between a bordeaux and a rhone, at times merging the two. Interesting wine.

Tonight - a taste of an Italian Carmenere. Way too new world for my tastes. Switched to a young but surprisingly good Aglianico.

Last night - 1999 Barolo with rack of lamb. It was surprisingly young for a 14 year old Barolo. I think this one was a bit more new world in style, but it still had the old world sensibility.
