Last night I found a nondescript 2009 gamay from Cote Roannaise hidden on a shelf.
Acidity and fruit fading a bit, but it was still juicy, gulp-able, and fun. At 11% alc, perhaps it was a bit too gulpable

I have two accounts- this 'anonymous' username for commenting, as well as a 'purchasing' account which is my real name. Apologies for the white box on the left.
Also, in the interest of full disclosure- I'm ITB, selling wine for a living. None of my wines have ever been featured on Woot though, so don't fear the shilling.

'07 Buena Vista Carneros Pinot, Ramal Vineyard (thanks BSevern!). Sometimes, Carneros Pinot is just what the doctor ordered.
Inviting nose of sweet, fresh strawberries with some spicy mushroom notes. Flavors of raspberry, and smokey, sweet baking spice. Nice body, nice finish, nice wine.
I may have to ride my bike past this vineyard in the AM to honor this one.

Nice wine, especially if you can nab it for $15.
I'm drinking some left over Tercero Cuvee Christie tonight.

Finishing up 2009 Tobin James Fat Boy Zin with a baguette and cheese for lunch. Fruit bomb city, but delicious.
