Well, here's hoping I enjoy the Crusher when I get it!

With concern about The Crush Orange, I also opened a bottle of the 2011 tonight. I was not disappointed.

This bottle has been sitting in my closet since shipment. Temperature is ~58F.

PnP
Color: Deep straw to golden, tinge of orange.

Nose: Tropical fruits (mango, lychee), tangerine and creme brulee. It's very aromatic

Palate: Medium bodied. Tangerine and sweet spice. I would guess that there is a touch of RS in there

Finish: Medium finish (20-30 seconds) of tangerine zest and toastiness.

As it's been in my glass for about 30 minutes, the aromatic intensity is getting even stronger. I can pick up scents with the glass near my chest! Banana is coming through on the nose and it's also gaining more body. Good acidity, soft tannin, complex flavor; drinking well now. I will likely drink a second bottle soon instead of aging.

Sam Adams maple pecan porter. Pretty yummy.

Last night I found a nondescript 2009 gamay from Cote Roannaise hidden on a shelf.
Acidity and fruit fading a bit, but it was still juicy, gulp-able, and fun. At 11% alc, perhaps it was a bit too gulpable

Something cheap. A local happy hour is invading the wine bar my locker is in.

had the Ardente 2001 over the past couple nights. Very nice. Was definitely better the first night after an hour. Was still enjoyable the second, but starting to fall apart.

Tonight, 2007 The Duke with a baked pasta.

Wow is this interesting great wine. Rose that is not released for 10 years.

Popped a bottle Hahn Cab Franc to end yet another long week. I know this is supposed to be more a food friendly wine, but its still pretty good just to sip under such circumstances.

Yup kick away really good stuff!

Although I think I liked the 05 just a hair better but that does not take away from this wine at all.

Depends on if you like cab's from Italy. I thought this was a nice one. Reasonable price off of Cindy, but there is none left.

Tonight's wine: 2008 Va Piano Cabernet Sauvignon. Full of currant and dark chocolate.

How much were those from Garagiste? I'm becoming a fan of his, and we had 16 cases from him delivered to our office in the last couple months (none mine).

Tonight is Wellington 2002 Syrah with slow cooked back ribs.

I believe it was around $125. I didn't realize it was such a highly rated wine.

I need to be careful when I order from him. It's easy to say 1 bottle here, 2 there, 3 for that, etc. Then, come spring or fall, there's a few cases that show up. Also, he has such a way with words. He's quite a salesman.

Finishing up 2009 Tobin James Fat Boy Zin with a baguette and cheese for lunch. Fruit bomb city, but delicious.

Beyond delicious!

Woot Cellars Blitzen. It's a medium body, Ty Caton, red blend. Maybe not such a great choice with the fish fajitas I made. Tasty, and good QPR, but not stellar by any means.

2007 Wellington CS. Nicely paired with grilled pork chops, mashed potatoes and salad.
