Weird on the PnP. Opened up and became nice. Grapefruit, a little steely, but not my favorite. I want like razor blade acid and minerality which this wasn't buy it was nice.

Is Thumbprint the Newman distribution that's always on WTSO?

2007 Wellington Sonoma Valley Cab.
I was told we would be having new york strip steaks for dinner. Upon arriving at the grandparents and opening the bottle I was then told we were having BBQ chicken.

Not a great pairing so i sipped it before dinner.

Solid QPR and would have been great with red meat.

I'm not sure of the distribution, but I do get it from WTSO. My mom is even hooked on the stuff! I bought it for the names of the wines and have been hooked ever since!!

Just poured out 3 bottles I am afraid to open another in fears that it will be poured out as well. I don't know if I am getting sick or if these truly were bad.

Ouch! The odds of having 3 random bottles all corked are pretty long.

My thoughts exactly.I wasn't too worried about them being corked as I was about not liking them. I have never tried a late harvest vignoles, wish I had not tried it under these circumstances now. Wife liked the late harvest vignoles. My kiddo is sick now so it is very plausible it is spreading.

After reading the not so great reviews on WL i was worried...this is very good, the aromatics are stunning i could smell this wine walking down the driveway 40 feet away. Blackberries raspberry and tar and a little tart fruit and really good acid

My only complaint is the finish is a little short. If you don't want the rest of yours i will take them

Lameka 'The Lady' 2011 SB, Cambozole, tapenada and bagette, garden salad; grilled steak, leeks with black truffle butter, spuds in olive oil and light spice, steak & 'shrooms, 2003 MM Syrah; Creme Brulee, Pedroncelli 2006 four grapes vintage port.
The Lameka was a gift, and a pleasant one too, not sure where that 77 on CT came from.
The MM 2003 is drinking well. What may have been overly tannic early on is now well integrated with berry fruit and some other elements that I can't well describe but make it quite tasty; wish I had a few more, I'm rather liking this.
The Pedroncelli 2006 VP is tasty but nothing really special, but went well with the brulee.

I like the 2007 better, but I still think it is one of the best $12 of wine out there. I'll be grabbing at least another case after the heat passes.

Not clear on the Newman connection there, but we had a nice chat with the winemaker in their tasting room in Healdsburg in October 2010. They sell a lot on WTSO; I've had a number of them and thought they were all really enjoyable, and good QPR. I especially like their Viognier, and a white blend they call Arousal. Their connection with WTSO is pretty strong, though; the winemaker said they actually make some of their wine specifically to market on that site.
