I'm not sure it will get better, but it's not going anywhere. That being said, it's going to be hard to not pull another one out really soon.

Tallulah 2009 Syrah Stagecoach Vineyard

Dense dark, black fruits, blackberries, mild pencil led, cocoa, long finish. Very lush. 2009 and it is drinking great right now.

Tallulah keps winning me over with their wines.

$20 on WTSO which seems like a steal for this wine. Hopefully we'll see this one up on Woot. I'm tempted to pop an Epiphany Stagecoach Syrah tomorrow and have a vineyard showdown.

Meh. Not bad for the price. Not a re-up, though. Crowd-pleasing wine. Now, the Xavier was phenomenal. That's my benchmark for CdR this year. My CT says I have one left, but I'm not sure. I hope so...

Wow this is good...wish I had more, in another 5 or so years this will be a great great bottle! Beautiful aromatics, taste blackberries and cassis with a hint of tart fruit and spices. Tannin adds grip and the acidity makes for a long and layered delicious finish. If you want to know what Cabernet tastes like...try this!

Do whatever you can to get more and then don't put it up at 2am

Took a bottle of Blitzen and a bottle of Wellington "The Duke" to a Christmas party. Blitzen is quite possibly my favorite Woot Cellars wine and The Duke was better than expected from the lukewarm CT reviews.

Popped open a bottle of Phat goose. Initial impressions straight out of the bottle: Thin bodied, but pleasant, very heavy on alcohol on taste/nose but the nose has slowed down, and just a bit of dark cherries. The alcohol taste has also decreased but its still very separate from the rest of the wine, we shall see what happens as it sits in my glass.

This is so well done. Elegant, sweet (not sugar, but fruit). Has a front- and mid-palate and a finish. Went great with Boursin-stuffed chicken. I have one bottle left.
