Sorry I couldn't join you guys. Whirlwind visit (as they always seem to be). Tasted some interesting Pinots at Pinot Days- Ken Volk, Siduri, Sojourn, Thomas Fogarty, Loring, Waits-Mast, La Follette and Foxen, to name a few. Also tasted some nice stuff at Booker in Paso on my way down. And the Monastrel from Bodegas Paso Robles that I opened on Friday was bananas.

Tonight a PET from R&B Cellars.

Sojourn plays on Berserker Day so they may be willing to throw a deal on here. It would be Black Tie Buy, but soooo worth it. Their wines are DELICIOUS.

K&L had 2 bottles of the Rodgers Creek Sonoma Coast Pinot for $35. I got two. Seems they're now sold out. Hope I like them...I've now got 4 bottles of various 2011 Pinots!

I have no great recipe, unfortunately. The good news is the wine was outstanding and paired very well with the stew.

I found two bottles of tablas creek at Tj's today a white and a red blend. It seemed like it was maybe their low level blends. It was in the $12-13 range. Anyone know if these are any good?

I think it was this label: patelin de tablas

Vall Llach Embruix

The baby brother of the Vall Llach Idus we have had here before. A very solid new world Spanish red I got for $16 a bottle. Retail $25. I've enjoyed it even at $16 a glass at a restaurant I know.

2006 Gazzi Chardonnay. Love it. That was the last bottle. Too bad they're gone, and even the remaining bottles are, unless Scott could somehow find a few more bottles of the 2006 Pinot. The one without the added Syrah.

I'm sure you could wait, but for me, there was no reason to. The fruit is so pure and they're so delicious a year or two after vintage, I say drink 'em.
