Ha! I've been wanting to open this one since I got it. It'll probably be great in 2 years, but I'm sick of waiting.

Younger daughter cooking some awesome meatballs to go with some doctored up spaghetti and trimmings for family and friends.
Some Hummus dip she also made before, with other trimmings and Julian apple pie to close out.

Pacific Rim Winemakers Riesling White Flowers Selenium Vineyard
2008 Vino Noceto Sangiovese Amador
2009 Pedroncelli Sangiovese Alto Vineyards
Lagavulin 16 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky, 43%

The PR was pear, peach and a hint of almond; surprisingly good considering it's cost.

The two Sangio's were a contrast; clean crisp bright red fruits for the Noceto, and darker ones with a healthy dose of oak and tannin for the Ped.
The single malt was of course all smoke.

I needed something lightish and found a bottle of 2011 EcoTrail Cabernet Franc Baco Noir and Chambourcin. We must have picked it up when we were at one of the Liquor Control Board Stores someplace in Ontario, Canada. Damn, it's good! Wish we had more! Dried berry & light cherry notes with fine tannins and vanilla aromas. Paired beautifully with the red pepper, shallot, asparagus, spinach and cheddar omelet that I made tonight.
