NOOOOOOOOOOOO! I planned on being in for three if it was the same as the last offering. The GSM was great, while the syrah was just good. Well you let my wallet off the hook this entire weekend woot... After being very excited given the clues.

This is a very different vineyard than the last Syrah (from Oregon). Much more spice and bacon fat going on...

Mike, how would you compare the 06 and 07 of this wine?

The 2006 is showing more white pepper and smoky spice, super sexy right now. The 2007 is more in your face and needs some time to calm down.

Is it just me? When I go to their site they don't show an '06 vtg. They do show an '07 with the same detail " picked on october 17th"...

I pulled the 2006 off the site and held the last of it for wine.woot. The Del Rio is totally sold out. And yes, they were picked on the same day. It has a habit of doing that...old vines.

Mike, on the website it says you purchased the Tallulah label in 2009. Were you involved with it prior to that point?

The 2006 Bald Mountain Syrah was in barrel and I blended and bottled it, along with the 2007's. Thanks!

I've got a 2008 which is called Lifeboat, after Tallulah Bankhead's 1944 film...
