It "should" be less expensive than a casino/hotel, especially with deals out there - usually non-gaming hotels are more expensive than non-gaming hotels.

I don't know.... do we want to meet on the strip somewhere? there are so many good restaurants to choose from on the strip, we could walk to.... I am open for suggestions... and times....

not getting in until like 11pm, midnight-ish on friday, and really shouldn't be diet busting eating late night...

but

my late night snacking joint for vegas has always been ichiza on spring mountain rd... japanese izakaya, super crowded, no reservations taken after 7pm, people line up for hours for a seat here...

probably should just check in and go to sleep... we'll see...

hubby doesn't do sushi... I do... we are pretty open for any type of food... we will have the car, so we can give anyone a ride if need be...I haven't been to Vegas enough to suggest anyplace. we like the restaurants in Planet Hollywood... as long as it doesn't cost a small fortune..

Agreed on not costing a small fortune. Strip is easy but I've never really gone to restaurants off the strip. tenuki, suggestions?

Honestly hard to say partly because it's not a segment of food I do often. If y'all want on strip and sit down, Carnegie deli in mirage, Stripburger, Earl of Sandwich in PH (kinda food courty but good/cheap. Oh, go wander around Cosmo and do the no name pizza kitchen mentioned last time

tenuki gave good solid advice - food on the strip is expensive. Just off strip on east Flamingo there are several eateries (near where Fogo is).

South of the strip is Town Square where you'll find several eateries including a few chain places.

prob. this was a while ago also... I don't think the case of wine we brought back from Kansas was searched... I don't think they ever had anyone check a case of wine before... everyone looked amazed and confused at baggage check in!!

We also have been frequenting a fusion Ethiopian/American place by us, very good, and very pleasant atmosphere.

Vegas has a plethora of eating establishments.

Well, in-n-out is a must for people who can't get it so I understand. I was totally craving it when I lived in Florida for a year so... And I love thai food and DW sounds good too.

in terms of 'californian burger places'
i highly recommend fat burger over in n out...

affordable restaurants on the strip usually mean if the meal is comped by the casino... otherwise the prices are pretty outrageous... (unless you want to do the cheapo buffets) NOT WOOT FRIENDLY for sure haha
