These are by far the best pistachios I have ever had. At my local Pavilions, they average around $7 a pound.

Anybody else remember the recalled pistachios

Do I just live in a pistachio unfriendly area? I can barely even get an 8oz bag of pistachios for $6 a pound! $7 a pound shipped seems like a great deal for me.

Remember people These are supported by R. Lee Ermey and Keyboard Cat. If you say no to the cat, he's going to yell at you until you crack and buy them.

This brand used to be known as Sunkist. These are really great pistachios with very few closed nuts. This is a better deal that the one I have been following on Amazon:

about the same price as you can get at the store. But a good deal if you're itching to get a woot box in the mail.

If you're a Sam's Club member, these are regularly priced at $15.98 for a 3 lbs bag ($5.33/lbs.).

This works out to $7 with shipping.

Then again, you don't have to drive anywhere.

These things are great, but I still have a bag and a quarter left from the last time they appeared!

$7 a pound with shipping is more than local stores charge and no need to buy 4 pounds.

Safeway has a special today on these, 20 ounces for $5.

Are you in Alaska? I travel a lot and $7 a pound is what most chain stores charge when NOT on sale.

wonderful pistachios are, well, wonderful and all, but it seems a bit boring for wine.woot! what about getting some exciting flavors like everybody's nuts pistachios does so well. my favorite is the ones with vinegar, with a nut wearing a beret on the package, European flavor, i think.

Nope, not Alaska, just northern Illinois. Maybe all of our corrupt governors have cleverly managed to put a tax on all pistachios in the state and profit off of it!

yeah but the ones at sams club are a 48 oz bag not 32 oz.

Will this work with my Mac?

Srsly pass; there are a million good nut/fruit vendors in my area and I can buy the amount I want fresh on demand.

I should know better than to drink and woot.....I just purchased 4 lbs of pistachios.

In for one. We eat a lot of pistachios; it's my husband's favorite snack. Usually buy the Kirkland brand 3 pound bags at Costco, which are a little cheaper, but these are really good and not that much more.

Tom Thumb currently has them for $5.00 for a 1lb bag. or $20.00 for 4lbs (matching this woot). I love them, but if you are near a tom thumb, they are possibly on sale w/ reward card.

Those were the flavored pistachios. I had an order and had already finished off one of the bags recalled.

The recall lot numbers were different than what Woot had sold. Woot did the very honorable thing and just refunded everyone's money. When I asked them if they wanted the unused pistachios back, I was told to just throw them out.

Woot does have great and caring customer service.

Keep an eye out at Jewel/Osco. They just had BOGOF at the holidays and they usually do another for superbowl season. They run about $4.99 a 1lb bag.

Last time I bought pistachios from Woot, they were drop shipped directly from the company that packed the nuts. That means they were "factory fresh".

The nuts you buy at the grocery store have gone through several warehouses and could even be a prior year harvest. While in some cases they might be slightly less expensive than this Woot sale, they won't be as fresh and probably won't taste as good.

Problem is, nobody can each just one Pistachio nut.

Give me a break. A 3-pound bag of salt and pepper pistachios from Costco sells for less than half the price per pound of this deal. Can't stop eating them. A few percent are typically unopened, really an insignificant issue.
