Another week, another request for information about when I might expect my wine to arrive. Please, the silence is killing me!

(yeah, no way we could ever afford that....as it is, it's looking like I'll be needing/wanting to buy a new car shortly....so money is soon to be something I have to worry about bigtime )

Ok, here is where I exit, there are way too many wedding comments flying around and I know it's stressing at least Cheron, and probably you too HAK. The privilege and pleasure of planning your lives should be left to you two. My apologies.

Any shipping updates? I also chose the first ship date, and since I'm going to be moving in 3 weeks I'm starting to get a teensy bit worried >.>

Now, if you had it shipped to your wine locker, on a pallet, like zTimBz, whatshisname, and I, you'd have it already!

Oh wait, you are whatshisname!!! Check with Felicia, because we got it last week, and yours should have been on the pallet too.

Edit: Um, the week (it arrived on the 12th or 13th) before.

Dang, time flies when you're having fun!

That was my dad's half of the shipment, we share a locker there. He's already gone in and emailed me a list of everything that arrived. Still waiting for my shipment here in NY.

WD wrote to me via email explaining what happened on his end, and I am expecting my wine to arrive this week.

YAY! I can't believe it but I actually succeeded in making vinegar from the party wine. Whoop should have some by the end of the week to help determine the name. I am also working on bottling. There isn't a lot in this first batch, but I'll try to share. I think it's pretty good!

This is definitely a beta operation. But as I understand the process, I can just keep adding more wine to the mother batch and then wait a couple of weeks to get the right consistency. I'll do my best to make sure there is always a little leftover wine around here. That's not always an easy task! I love the encouragement and will do my best to share. Hi All,

for those in the second phase of RPM shipments, we intend to initiate those packages next week. i will be sure to forward tracking immediately. the east coast delvieries will likely be the following week. this is so the wines don't sit around over the weekend.

more details shortly.

thanks,

Got my tracking list last night. TEN boxes!!!! All going to mom's house this afternoon, and if mom is still out (like she is now), then grandma gets to sign for them all. LOL
I know two of them are the 3L bottles, but almost 8 other cases? Cat & I didn't recall that we bought that much....oops guess we went a little overboard. Gonna be fun trying to sort through it all after moving it from the garage (where it will get delivered today) to the back corner of their basement.

Email arrived today, exactly 30 minutes after the wine was delivered. No call from the FedEx folks who accepted the delivery, because I forgot to put my phone # with the shipping info. Thanks to tracking info in the email, I knew it was delivered, so I went to pick it up right away, since they don't have much space over there. Now I just have to figure out where to put it all.
A thousand thanks for taking such great care of us.

I had a Hall order form packed among my wines. That wine lists at $140 and club price is $126. I'm thinking we got club price + 7.75% tax.

(Impressive! That was the most expensive wine they had available - the Mt. Veeder being sold out.)

By any chance did anyone end up with an extra 6 bottles of wine?

I think I bought 30 bottles of wine (what I posted previously) + a double magnum from Scott. Only 24 bottles arrived. That said, the only 2 bottles I cannot account for are a Pinot Noir from Iron Horse, and a 2009 Cab from Robert Craig. My wife thinks I packed them, and I remember wanting to pack them, but decided against it since I remember our suitcase being close to the weight limit. I've looked through my wine cellar, and didn't find either bottle.

WD, did you find an extra 6 bottles somewhere?
