I cannot find the previous posts from during the woot-off. It seems that maybe texacaliali's posts re looking forward to the vinegar, made during the woot-off were deleted....

She mentioned something about possibly getting in trouble for looking too far ahead on the calendar re the availability of the vinegar, which made me think it wasn't going to show during the woot-off, and maybe not on the Thursday after the woot-off, but possibly sometime after that.

Pair that with WD's comments recent comments....maybe we shall see it soon. I'm not giving up yet.

Excited for this weekend, food fest with v, Ron white show, mosconi cup, dinner with Sanity, but what's going to crack me up the most is using Siri, show me your Christmas ornaments!

It snowed at home overnight, of course. A neighbor cleaned my car off for me, randomly, which was a huge help in getting the car packed this morning. So the snow delayed me a little bit just getting out of Michigan, but once I was actually on I-80, it was clear driving all the way. Got a really pretty picture of the moon rising in PA.

West coasters - there's a total lunar eclipse tomorrow morning, starting around 4:45 PST. You should go watch it. It'll be gorgeous.

Also, thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. They are very much appreciated

We're all in good spirits. As ddeuddeg mentioned, having a strong faith makes the passing of loved ones much easier. I grew up in the Salvation Army, and the term used when someone passes away is "Promotion to Glory". So it's always been more of a time of remembrance and celebration of the person's life, and rejoicing that they are now in Heaven, knowing that we will see them again.

I thought heavily about the Orange wine offering but since I am not a huge fan of Chard, I held out. I was also going to gift some but then I saw the alcohol content and thought again. This would be one thing I'd want to taste before buying. Hmmm.

So we have this adorably cute new great nephew. He totally has this smile that my dad had when dad was tipsy. My dad passed this time of year back in 86. Seeing Tyler's goofy drunk Taranowski grin gets me ... a tad bit verklempt, but then makes me smile.

Well apparently my attempt at humor and to tempt y'all to talk dirty to your iPhones has failed. It's okay, I picture y'all doing it anyway and just not fessing up

At around 3 am I was like eh, I could just stay up and watch the eclipse. So stayed down in the casino, just came up to catch the start and realized while my room is both high up and west facing, I get a nice view of the Venetian and not the moon. So now it's 5 am, I'm tired, have no view, and would have to go to the garage and grab my car and drive for a bit on the off chance I can find a good place to pull over in the cold to watch the show. Decisions decisions.

Were you able to see? I went out early to watch here and while I was able to see the full eclipse, it was much too light already to see the red moon. Once the eclipse started waxing? it was really too light and the moon to far on the horizon to see anything.

So I realized that if I will be in Vegas from Dec 24-dec 30th, so if you get the orange wine before then we can probably just do a direct exchange (if you still would like to part with a bottle). I was up at 3am, but 1. I'm on the east coast and 2. It was cloudy so I just went to sleep.

This is great: I get woken up by a knock on door, and when I open it its the Fedex guy delivering my Rassmussen Forte. Apparently Fedex now delivers 6 days a week for the holidays, and even though I was supposed to get my wine on monday, he wanted to make sure that he caught me and delivered it on a saturday. I find it amusing because this is only the second time I met the guy in person, because I usually have my wine delivered to the local fedex office, but I guess he keeps seeing the same name for a box of wine. If I catch him next week, maybe I will give him one of the finger lakes desert wines I have. Of course if I can convince him to leave the wine on my porch that would be even nicer. Also you know that you are a wooter when you use your glow in the dark screaming monkey as a night light to navigate your room in the dark.

Since balsamic is going to be delayed, are we still going to occupy? Is there something else we need for the holidays? Some bubbly?

Thanks for the update. Still want very badly, but will nit count into for presents.

Yet, I for one, will still occupy the Cyber Pub until I see Balsamic. Then again, I would anyway.

And to be honest, last night's wine was from woot. Half the cellar us from here, so right wine is likely a woot wine.

Dinner was grilled ribeyes with 1997 Corison Kronos Cabernet . Followed that up with Taylor Fladgate 2005 LBV Port.

That is the way to relax after putting up the tree and decorating.

Greatest comment ever. We're watching Rudolph and my daughter says, Daddy, who's that guy with the bacon mustache. Yukon "Bacon" Cornelius!

So, there's this Christmas special on right now, Flight before Christmas or something. It is BY FAR the stupidest thing I have ever watched. EVER. Much less the stupidest Christmas special ever.

more wisdom from the spawn of bowtie:

cousin: "when I die I'm going to be an angel and go to heaven" (kinda deep talk for 4 year olds)

Anne: "nuh uh,when you die you go to the graveyard"

now guess which is in the catholic preschool

Making Eggnog Cheesecake from Ddeuddeg's recipe. Actually two, one for work and one for home over the holidays.

Two issues. Not enough Nilla Wafers for second crust, so I had to run out between the two. More of an issue, when timer is running, it shuts down the oven when time ticks to the next minute. We had the control panel replaced last year because of the same issue. New one coming in a week. My wife doesn't use the timer, so not clear how long it has had the problem. Wonder if the stove is a bad one. Two years old, and two control panels replaced.
