The background of the pic should've been a different color; when I looked at the little image from another woot site, it looked like a syringe =/

One can only hope the BV is so uber-popular that it gets its own day very soon. Supplies are very limited in the Corrado household!

Well... I'm in for two. Another fun aerating toy to make folks say, "what's that? I want one!" Too bad about the balsamic, but knowing the surprises that WineDavid can spring on us, keep your eyes open. I would be shocked if it doesn't show up in time for Christmas delivery.
Cheers!

In for one on behalf of my sister for my dad for Christmas morning at my in-laws' house. My aunt is also involved, but I can't remember how.

My issue with this, owned by friends, is that it pours the first 1/4oz. and the sort of stops. When you go back and forward to pour more, it blurps out about an Oz and 1/2. So I cannot recommend this if you are trying to present nicely and give everyone a taste-but it does aerate your big, honkin' glass!

Anyone else have feedback? Sounds like a good option since I missed the Venturi red at cheapo Woot price (for a gift), but don't like the idea that this may act a bit like a "limiter" -- I hate it at bars or wine tasting room when the pourer has to stop pouring into my glass (well, isn't that self-evident....), but I was referring to when you have to "burp" the pourer, ... No, that doesn't sound right either .....

Never mind, you know what I mean!

"We hear of the conversion of water into wine at the marriage in Cana as of a miracle. But this conversion is, through the goodness of God, made every day before our eyes. Behold the rain which descends from heaven upon our vineyards, and which incorporates itself with the grapes, to be changed into wine; a constant proof that God loves us, and loves to see us happy." Then it sounds like they aren't pouring it correctly.

See their video on vinoair's website:

The pour should come out smoothly...

Found a different listing on [Amazon](http://www.amazon.com/Vino-Air-Wine-Aerator-and-Pourer/dp/B002RBSRAK) that's $14.95 + free shipping. Different spelling & use of capital 'O'. Might be the same; might not.

Edit to apologize: Can't get the link to show properly. Sorry.

No, we were not "pouring it wrong", regardless of the video above, my friends and I are not novices when it comes to aerating wine. We took this portable aerator (its big selling point,) in it's case out to a restaurant and the aerator did pour, stop, and then plop a big glob of wine into 3 out of 5 glasses. That's enough proof for me.

In for two! I have plenty of friends who enjoy a nice glass of some mid-range wine for the table at dinner who wouldn't go out of their way to lay out the $$$ and fuss about with a vinturi but would really enjoy a convenient way to aerate their wines. this fits the bill nicely.
I may even get another for myself :p

I was surprised to see the standard version of the Vinoair on Amazon for $14.95 with free shipping. I don't know how much value is added by the Premier model for sale here except maybe for the enhanced gift presentation.

Anyone tried out this aerator?

I was looking for information on the Vinoair and came across it, it has good reviews on Amazon, and and came out near the top in a couple internet reviews.

Thanks for the link. Interesting to see that the Amazon price now is pretty much the same as the Woot summer price.

I do use both. I have the model that does not have the metal looking tip. This is not as effective as the Venturi that you pour through. I believe less air gets circulated through this one.

Text write up says that twice as much air get in to the wine - maybe this is an improved version of what I have.

I don't think the metal tip has anything to do with the effectivness. This is a good wine pourer and the anti-drip is effective. Nice gift.

I've gone through 2 soiree's. They work really well, I was really impressed...expect for they tend to fall out of the bottle neck, and being very fragile glass, end up broken. After breaking the 2nd one about 8 months ago, I haven't bothered with another. I usually have the time to decant the first bottle, and if I'm going for a second, it's often more socially anyways where the improvements of air are easily overlooked in the moment.

I bought two from here back in July. I'm still n the first, the second hasn't been opened yet, though the rubber IS starting to wear off a bit on the tightest ring of the rubber grommet. Still, aside from the occasional single drop of wine, works totally fine, and because of the shape of it, cleaning it is pretty easy.

The glass is thin for sure, this would not survive being dropped in the sink, much less the floor, but it does its job and if you're careful will last quite a while. I'm rather fond of mine...

On Amazon, this set is $27.75 including shipping. Look for "Vinoair Premier Gift Set".

I bought this last time and love it, especially the filter.

I had a 2004 bottle of Hans Lang Riesling on New Years Eve in which the cork had dried out. Since the cork kept coming apart and I could no longer sink a corkscrew into it, I had no choice but to cork it. The filter did a great job of filtering the cork and only pouring golden wine into my glass (w/no drips).

One thing to note is that it does not fit every bottle and the very first bottle on which I tried to use it was too small (a Portuguese Red).

W/respect to aerating the wine, it does a very nice job and it gurgles quite a bit as you pour. As such, there can be a little bit of splatter on the counter around the glass.

I'm in for 3 to use as gifts for Christmas 2012. :-)

I haven't tried the VinOair, but have purchased the Vinturi wine aerator.

Overall, I think the Vinturi is a very good aerator and helps to improve the aroma and flavors, especially in young reds, but I’m really not too keen on the gurgling or mess it makes, and also find it awkward in having to hover it over your glass while pouring.

My wife and I recently went to a wine tasting evening, where another wine aerator was being highly praised by the wine buffs – in not only performing as well, if not better than the Vinturi in blind tastings, but that it was more attractive and versatile and really brought a sense of occasion to enjoying a bottle of wine – all qualities that really sold it to me to try out.

It’s called the WineWeaver http://www.wineweaver.com and it comes in a variety of colors which you can use with both glasses and decanters.

The aeration chamber is moveable to suit the exit of the wine to the shape of your glass to enhance the aeration, plus you are able to sit it directly on top of your glass because it weighs next to nothing.

There's a Video of it herehttp://vimeo.com/32197087

Again, makes a less expensive bottle taste like a more expensive one, softening the tannins, and really bringing out the fruit in the wine.

And with regards to cleaning, it's safe to just chuck into the dishwasher.

Having set the Vinturi and WineWeaver against each other I can whole-heartedly recommend the WineWeaver aerator for functionality, performance and great design! But - have yet to try the VinOair!!
