Wow...in this economy, I am amazed (and laughing in my chair at the same time) when I see all these people say "in for 3!". Only in America I guess. Spending almost $100 on chocolate...lol

One of my favorite chocolate bars has cinnamon. It is the Moonstruck Mayan Bar. The cinnamon really enhances the chocolate flavor like a spiced hot chocolate. I am really looking forward to trying these Rain Republic bars. If you have a Fred Meyer where you live they just started carrying Moonstruck Chocolate for a very good price. I can't recommend it enough.

I'm getting this as gifts only because my sister mentioned Guatemalan Dark Chocolate once. Good lord, $30 for candy? Doubt kids were used with a price like that.

Oh. I've tried sweets from around the world and I loves my chocolate. But I seriouslbelieveve if you give a Guatemalan, Swiss, Belgian, whatever, a bar of Hershey's, and they've never tried good, smooth, rich milk chocolate they'd pay $30 for it.

Actually, it's an ANCIENT taste sensation. Still very much worth the fuss though, when done properly.

I got the offer with all dark + one chile bar several months back - these are outstanding. People aren't lying when they say you feel satiated after slowly consuming just 2-4 blocks from the bar...

I still have several left from my last offer but I with the variety of flavors in this one I am very tempted! Maybe the Rain Republic folk will show up on the forum to discuss the new flavors/quantification of 'dark chocolate' and help push me off the fence...;-)

No Fred Meyers around here but I'll take a look for it at Trader Joe's and World Market. Thanks for the reply about cinnamon flavored chocolate, sounds appetizing per your description.

One of the reasons I asked was because I was wondering what kind of wine would pair with cinnamon. In the meantime, I found a handy little website that lets you use a search engine to match specific foods with appropriate wines and vice versa. Apparently cinnamon pairs best with sweet whites.

Anyway, your reply pushed me over the edge, I'm in!

I know my sister (who I owe a birthday present will just love this), mother (who has a b-day coming up), and brother (again owe a b-day present to) will just love. where I am from good chocolate is not so easy to come by, so when I find a chance I take it. IDK but anything with ingredients like this and its just sounds too good to miss out on!

I bought this last year as well as a gift for my friend who loves dark chocolate. She said it is the best chocolate she has ever eaten. She's getting it again this Christmas thanks to Woot! I have been checking Woot every day since specifically for Rain Republic.

I expect a lot from a $6 per 66 gram chocolate.

Given the comments from other posters about the previous offering, I think I will just enjoy some good chocolate from Trader Joe's.

there's no way to know since there isnt a single store that stocks this stuff and apparently their "guy" here in the states will *never* contact you about replacing 2 cases of ill-mixed chocolates which they will they will lie and swear up and down were "bloomed." then when you bring it up in the forum, they'll promise a new replacement and you wont believe their promise, and you'll be right.

i was the 'glob' guy, and i'll admit that when they're not messed up, this is amazing chocolate. however, i got burned pretty bad with 2/3 of my order improperly blended.

if you look at my wine.woot forum activity, you can learn the saga and see the pics.

Child labor laws are ruining this country. - Ron Swanson

it makes my roflcopter take off every time I hear people complain about the price of specialty items and then compare it to bargain basement quality items.

Only Americans would pay this much for chocolate? I'll take that as the compliment it was intended to be. It illustrates our good taste in the finer things and our monetary purchasing power to acquire more than just the basics. It may enlighten you to know that other countries appreciate fine chocolate. Switzerland and Germany come to mind.

Also, something being vegan is hardly an endorsement worth having. This chocolate should be brushed with bacon grease before packaging just to prevent being labeled with such a negative connotation.

Suck it, Trebek.

Push. The new dark chocolate, in the dark, sea salt and chilie is even darker than before!!! We've reformulated the darks to have more bite, reducing the cacao butter from 11 to 4.1% by volume and this may be the best example of dark chocolate on the market today as well as the only from Guatemala-the origin of all chocolate. The cinnamon milks are darn fine too.

Thanks for mentioning our quality control issues. We are proud to announce that this year upped the quality control all around, from Kosher certification to a new molding and packaging line to make sure you receive the highest quality chocolate in the industry.

Sorry... but I've purchased this chocolate twice before and both times the chocolate was old. Old and stale with the white crusting edges and white spots like old chocolate gets when it's, um, old. Old like the inventory needed a major flushing so it was dumped on Woot. No thanks.
