Nope! I meant what I said. Do you have a leak frog? They are super super helpful, but when they detect water (or the battery dies) they beep and beep and beep and beep and beep and beep and if it's just a dying battery and it's in a closet, behind a panel and it means taking out the closet rod at 2am , you just try to sleep through it, and fail miserably.

Congrats.... Sorry I've been sleeping off the last two crazy weeks. Oh and making cookies!

I realized I haven't done Christmas cards, am I a bad person if I don't do them? I would have to get up in the am and do them and that's too much stress for my destress week I think. I might send an email letter to everyone (or facebook/G+ as appropriate), and print mail it to the three members of Orc's family who don't have internet.... I don't know. I do have stuff to say, just don't really want the stress of doing it, and I really really love the cards, and doing them, just not when I have a few hours to do it and I rather be making cookies and taking the kids to the library....

KtC, I'm sure your friends/family would prefer you to enjoy the holiday with your husband and children and not stress yourself out over whether or not they received a card from you.

Loved ones understand when others have young children, it's not easy and they know it. No reason to try and be superman, errr superwoman. If you wish, maybe when/if things slow down mid January or when you're stuck in the house with a snow storm write a letter of well wishes for the new year to them and give them a quick update on your family. If you don't get around to it, no biggie. You can plead the mommy defense.

Posting an early HAPPY NEW YEARS to everyone. Hope you all have a happy and healthy year ahead for you and your family!

Thanks LP! I did just kick back and relax. I didn't even turn on my laptop (or take it out of it's bag) the entire time I was at my Mom and Dad's.

Most people have been cool about not getting a card/letter. It's just a bit harder for Orc's family who don't have internet and we seldom see since they are over 1000 miles from us. I do intend to write them. I don't know if things really slow down for us. Ver3's birthday is on Chinese New Year this year and He's been singing happy birthday everyday (usually to his sisters) for the last two months. Making a chocolate peanut butter car themed cake I think.

I sent 1 physical card this year as a response to receiving one, but had several of the sarcastic FaceBook ones, so there was that.

It's back to work time here in the Bible Belt, but "work" is a loose term this week as people try to gear back up from December's month long spindown.
