In for another one, haven't tried the first yet, but the winery gets it and this has been fun to read.

Glowing reviews means it has to be good right? Can't wait to try one. I am already into a Meeker Kiss Ridge bottle tonight, so this will have to wait until tomorrow.

Never had so much fun pushing the button...

Those of us left on this thread will be happy to help you drink whatever you don't sell. For charity, of course.

First, for getting my name right... you have no idea what I get most of the time, second because of the more detailed info on the charitable work you do and, third for the great reviews, I have asked the wonder woot! folks to bump my order up to two. I am so looking forward to a delightful (dry) evening on the patio sipping some of your wonderful wine.

Thanks!

Never hurts to have the sales staff hawking it either, but I was in for two even before that based on the earlier woot and the CT comments.

baqui63 wrote:Ok, my second purchase (first wine purchase) from wine.woot... hopefully, I don't regret this.

I know I like syrah and liked the way this wine was being described "red velvet theater curtain" and "lead pencil" so I figured it can't be all that bad.

(I'm generally a beer and scotch (neat, with a splash of water) guy, as in I already brew my own beer and would make my own scotch if I could.)

Here's my recommendation -- don't drink all three at the same time. But when you do enjoy my Humanitas 'Weed Farms' Syrah -- grab a big slab of beef, bbq it, maybe take a hunk of bleu cheese & a chunk of hearty bread -- turn on some cool music (I'm sorta into Foster the People now), invite over a friend or two -- and just savor. And if you live near Napa -- give me a call -- I'm in.

Saw them at Lollapalooza last week, and they were great. Of course, if I had been able to sneak in a bottle of Humanitas Syrah it would have been much better than the Lime-flavored Bud Light I was drinking.

OK, let me lay a quality comment on you here. What I love about Humanitas Wines is the basic premise is this--The wines have to be spot on beautiful or they do not go into the bottle. Our goal is to seek beautiful single vineyard sources from around the state (Syrah from Dry Creek Valley, Cabernets from Napa, Merlot from Sugarloaf Mountain, and other magnficent wines), make GREAT wines that you want to buy again and again, and THEN give all profits to charity. The wines have to be great or you will not buy anymore and we arent able to give to the charities.

Great wine first, then do good.

Liked the first bottle I got from the last time it was offered on woot. This gives me a chance to have another without upsetting the delicate balance that is my tiny cellar.

Sounds great. I'll try that with at least one bottle.

I'm a NY City guy (Flushing Queens, as in Fran Dresher, the Nanny person from that stupid show) but thanks nonetheless... I may get out that way some time, if it doesn't break off and fall into the Pacific before I do. ;)

Ok, I'm in. Everybody's been so funny & put me in such a good mood, I let go of some of my greenbacks. So, I just gave to charity AND I'm gonna get some knockout wine (that tastes like a curtain/baseball glove)? Good for my heart in a couple of ways.
