Actually, I've tried that numerous times without success. Do you have to be logged into FB at the time? That could be part of it, but it always seems to time out...perhaps my connection is too slow here in rural America :-) Will try to do that when I'm in town on a direct connect sometime as opposed to wireless. Woot Customer Service does it again.

My excess orders were cancelled, money refunded and they even disappeared from my account list. As if it never happened.

They really know how to take care of things after the inevitable glitch.

I know it's an old and tired complaint, but ...
Fedex has shown 'notified for pick-up' for over a week, with expected delivery tomorrow 22nd March.
But, no other tracking details or updates shown???
Anyone else having better luck (seeing more info) or is it all same, same?

Worse. I don't have an estimated delivery date at all. My estimated ship date is the 15th...of March, and that's all it says.

I'm seeing the same thing. Info sent the 15th then nothing. Used to say est delivery the21st (yesterday) but now it doesn't show anything. What is going on?

This is how fedex works (and why I prefer UPS) I routinely have this same issue with FedEx deliveries and it's frustrating. "Eventually" it will get there, but all we have is faith...
Makes it difficult to make sure someone is home to receive the shipment.

I'm having the same issue as others, pick-up info on the 15th with scheduled delivery today but no transit information at all. *fingers crossed*

Mine has the same thing. I called FedEx to see if I should stay home today and she said the shipper had only requested the label on the 15th but had not shipped. Looks like another week or so.

So they haven't actually shipped our wines yet? I'm having the same problem as everyone. Says it was supposed to be delivered today but it's still stuck on "Shipment information sent to FedEX" FH and I were looking forward to trying these this weekend. Oh wells...

Add me to the list. I checked the tracking a day after I got the email and it had an estimated delivery date of 3/21. Now it's back to saying shipping info has been received. I was really looking forward to trying these this week. Patience is a virtue, right??

I'm in the same boat as you guys with my anticipated ship date at March 15. As mentioned previously, this is my first purchase from wine.woot. Is this delivery time typical for items purchased from wine.woot? It's been 11 days and the item hasn't even shipped. I understand that patience is a virtue but 2 weeks before shipping seems a bit excessive. Can someone weigh in on why this takes so long?

tiger7610

quality posts: 13 Private Messages tiger7610

I'm in the same boat, and the bad part is that I need to leave tomorrow, and will be out of town until monday, I was hoping to pick it up at the fedex store since i'm never at home during the day, but that option is currently not available to me.

chipgreen

quality posts: 83 Private Messages chipgreen

Yes, this is typical. I assume that when I place an order here it will take 3 weeks to get to me and it's usually within a day or two of that time frame.

Don't ever believe the anticipated delivery date on a wine.woot purchase until the package is actually moving. Once the package is truly in transit you should be able to depend upon the (updated) estimated delivery date.

It's not an issue with FedEx, they don't control when the packages are actually handed off to them for shipping. It's a matter of coordinating the deliveries through Woot, WineCountryConnect and the Winery itself.

tiger7610

quality posts: 13 Private Messages tiger7610

I do understand that it usually takes a while, but considering the fact that it supposedly shipped from the winery and that winery is about 1.5 hours away from me I would think that it would be a bit faster.

Mine also says info received with nothing else. Strange thing is last thursday it claimed delivery would be yesterday.

Hate to beat a dead horse, but the same thing is happening to me. Shipment info sent to Fedex on the 15th, expected delivery date of the 22nd, but nothing yesterday, and no more expected delivery date.

I don't understand why there would be a tracking number if the winery doesn't have a package to send out. Anyone have more info?

WD creates the shipping labels, which is when they get entered into the FedEx system. In this case, the winery said he will be sending the labels across to the winery in NY - that ought to take a few days. Then the winery needs to have all the boxes packed and apply the labels and schedule the pick-up. I doubt they aer as efficient as WD is since they don't do it 5x/week.

Relax...you'll get your wine.

Hey Hey!
Thanks for your patience. I didn't know the chat was still going on!
ALL of the orders went out yesterday! Well there were a few that Jim sent out a couple days early (ones that looked very time sensitive, like anniversary gift ones etc)

Sorry for the delay, but it took us 3 days just to pack and shipper-label them!
Here is the chain of events:
wine.woot offering ends, a couple days pass before we get the exact numbers from woot, Then we figure out how many are singe woots, double woots and triple woots, so we can order the wine shippers from Waterloo Container (right here in Waterloo NY, about 45 minutes from the winery) Then they schedule a date for delivery.
During this time we have to wait of FedEx to get us the shipping labels.
Once we have all the order details, the shippers and the labels, then we call in all the guys (the vineyard crew and myself) and set up an assembly line assembling the shippers, putting the wine in the shippers, taping up the shippers, labeling the shippers, and palletizing them. Then the wait for FedEx to come pick them up is on. Because it was such a large order FedEx didn't know how to pick it up (11 pallets!) They had to send a large truck to the winery (on the worst driving day in the last month!) Of course they sent a driver that didn't know where we were and didn't know how to use a pallet jack.. Long story short they showed up at 4pm yesterday and we got them loaded up and sent the FedEx driver on his way...
SO you should receive them shortly. Or at the very least you should be able to track them.
Again thanks for your patience and business.
You'll find a special coupon exclusively for WOOT'ers in every box!
Thanks.
Jonathan
Ps if you don't like the taping job on your shipping box you can blame me!

Hi, Thanks for the feedback. I guess it's never as easy as it seems from the outside.
I will however be checking that tape -- neat corners, uniform edges, and consistent adhesion will all be judged ;->
Cheers

Thanks for the update!! Does anyone know if this is the usual process for wine.woot? eg: the tracking numbers being distributed a week prior to shipment? I've never wine wooted before so I was just curious if this is what I should expect in the future too.
Ours'll be in on Tuesday! We're so excited :-D

I opened the Late Harvest- yum yum very nice juice. I think I detect papaya or something along that line. Fruity but not overbearing, and that's just the aroma.
Exotic fruity spiciness is how my untrained palette would describe it. Not sugary, nice clean finish. I would purchase this again.

Got ours yesterday and chilled down and popped one of the Late Harvest Vignoles. I mainly got these because SWMBO loves dessert wines. I tried a quick taste, along with a friend of hers who's tastes tend toward bolder reds like mine, and we were both like "Oh dear god. Too sweet! Ahhh!". My wife on the other hand, LOVED it. Commented on the tastes of peaches and mango. The bottle lasted about 15 minutes. So all in all, I'm quite happy with the purchase, as it makes the wife happy. The remaining bottles are safe from me. I'd definitely jump on this again if it comes up. Just not for my personal consumption.

YAY! Got mine yesterday. Going to let the bottles settle down a bit to shake off any travel shock before I sample them, but I have to give Hunt Country Vineyards an A+ for the incredibly sturdy packing boxes (I have never seen any shipping box like it!), the included educational materials and coupon, and the expert taping job done on my box ;)

I just got my wine, I dont know if the winery still reads these forums, but I was wondering if I can extend the coupon that they provided. I was planning on visiting the winery, but I know that I will not be able to make it out before May 8th, and I prefer not to buy a case of wine that I have not tried.

Wow, this took a really really long time to ship to CA and the wine is still somewhere in OH as of today. May be in future Woot can request approximate approximate shipping schedule.

[Edit: Now I see others from this forum that others had the same problem]

Glad you all enjoyed the wine (or your spouses did!) For the big red fans, I would recommend first having a slice of pie or vanilla icecream, then try a sip of the Late Harvest or Icewine..

Just had the first bottle of Vignoles. Excellent, made it about 15 minutes. Really capped off the evening well. I usually don't love sweet wines, but this on hit the spot.

Had it with some Dark Chocolate caramels, went pretty well. Really reminded me of some aged Rieslings I have had, sweet but with a little complexity.
