There's nothing touching the metal things and they're dry. Nothing happens when I press the button on top, doesn't turn off. No way will I disassemble.

Well, I keep trying to explain to my mom that we don't live in a poor area, so we will be fine, but she doesn't seem to understand.

I wish we had a basement, a lot of people do, but we don't.

Perhaps if a tornado takes out most of the house we could put in a basement when we rebuild?

Rain here. Lots of it. I got soaked walking to my car yesterday after work, and am a little wet around the ankles from walking in today.

Yard work this weekend is not looking likely.

Edit: Growing up just outside tornado alley, I know what Fen means. It's a standing joke that trailer parks are tornado attractors. No one really believes it.

Holy wind outside batman! It's ridiculous here. We have a crappy door here at work, and the wind just tore it off the hinges... so now the front door is locked with a note telling people to walk around to the back. I don't expect much counter traffic today.

I could not go to sleep last night, as they played and replayed the Tuscaloosa tornado over and over.

Good Morning to all, and good to see that so far no one but the leak frogs have suffered any damage. However, maybe they have a storm warning system?

I purchased new batteries for one of my remotes and they were doa even though the exp. date was ok. Try another battery change maybe?

ugg I really haven't been feeling well. I spent a good part of yesterday unable to stand from the pain I've been having since my surgery last year. Can not wait until I can get it fixed!!! Can't stay home sick either. We are literally shorthanded at the school as I have my broken finger and the lunch lady has a chipped rotator cuff (fell and broke her shoulder). Then we have to drive 45 mins so Social Security can talk to the kids. Oh and while we're down there we are making a Costco run.

Tomorrow I should probably bake a cake for a certain birthday girl's 4th birthday on Sunday.

I'm having issues with my remotes from Direct TV. I replace the batteries, with ones that I know are fine and tested in other things, and the remotes still won't work. hmmph

Eneloop batteries are the gold standard. You can get a starter pack with 8 AA, 4 AAA and a charger from costco and amazon for $30. If you wat a nicer charger go with this and some eneloops http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00077AA5Q/ref=cm_cr_asin_lnk (what I have)

I use an antenna. Free HD, good signal quality, no ugly dishes. BTW if you get a universal remote, the Logitech ones kind of suck.

On another note, I am thinking about getting a webserver for $2.50/mo so that I can host larger images than I can with flicker. Does anyone actually care if they can see the full unresized 18mp images though?

Yea, I figured most people don't care to see an image that is 6 times larger than their monitor. Plus, things tend to be a bit blurry at 100%

The main issue though is that flicker uses really high image compression, and they don't look as good uploaded.
