Guessed correctly. In for 2. Would love to Lab rat I tried the Helios 100% 05 Cab Franc just last Saturday.

Edit: Nice... first sucker too

Favorites: Corison/Helios Cabs/Cab Franc, TyCaton Cab/TyTaniun & Field Blend, Roessler Pinots, Krupp Verasion Synchrony, Kent Rasmussen PS & Titus Lot 1

dangit, stupid mistyping password for paypal...

Yeah, they said that there'd be a Helios "very soon" to us. Right after we sampled the Cab Franc. But I'll take Cab & Merlot

I saw HitAnyKey42 on wine.woot! and clicked "I want one!"

Awesome. Too bad no cab franc but I'll take it (3).

I'm only in for one, only because I just dropped ... a lot... over the past weekend. Much of that AT Corison For something y'all can't have. Neener!

Wasn't that yummy? Too bad you didn't get to buy the EXTRA SPECIAL CORISON offering that us PSychos got. I'll go in for one of these tomorrow.

This one sounds exciting. Definitely in for 1 (not yet) but I'll wait for some feedback from Cathy or the rats to see if I order 3 instead.

And the path to drunken poverty continues... Java's Stash at CT

  • Wine.woots: um, lost count.
  • Other woots: um, lost count too. I might have a problem.

Someone who's tried this: how does this compare to Cathy's other wines? Is the cab just as good as the "regular," but more of a "drink now" wine? Anyone had the merlot? Thanks in advance for the info. Going to take some convincing after going for 3 of the Kronos.

more than enough wine.woots!

Keep bragging. One of these days we're just all gonna show up at your front door and raid your cellar. Drunken wooters all over the place 'til all the good stuff is gone...

SWEET. That would be AWESOME. Just don't touch the 2004 Turley Hayne PS since that's for my nephew in 17 years.

It was great. I took a bottle of the Cab Franc home with me.

Darn. I'm a PSycho too. I love PS See the sig? Pleading WD to bring back the Kent Rasmussen PS!

I was also @ D&D, but never ended up bumping into any of you as I never saw Loweel.

Ah well Maybe you're willing to share the special offering... or maybe I'll just have to revisit Corison in another month.

for the wine makers in the morning.

The product description makes this seem like "reject" juice (without all that negative connotation). I can see the marketing strategies behind a wine that can only be bought at the winery, but apart from that and the price, what sets this apart from your normal distributions?

I promised TMR I'd save the special offering for him. But make it to a DC and I'm happy to open a Lot1 and a few other PSpecial wines for you (e.g., Prager Royal Escort, Concannon '92, Arroyo '87/Greenwood Ranch '00)

A bunch of us were out in Napa/Sonoma this past weekend for Dark & Delicious (A PS extravaganza), and spent the remainder of the weekend winery hopping. Both groups ended up at Corison at different times, and they were pouring the Helios Cab Franc in the tasting room.

And it was oh-so-good

There wasn't enough for a hookup. It was a one-time, in-person only thing. Cathy thought they were out, but I asked Bob to check.

The torn-out vines from the Kronos vineyard are behind the cellar for kindling :-( :-( :-(

Wow. just... wow...

I opened my Kronos for Valentines - it was worth it to do so - and I am genuinely moved to hear of its passing...

Congrats on your tasting - I'd still appreciate a report. Corison is a definitive SIWBMDB (deal breaker). Maybe I missed it - linky?

We didn't taste it. We bought it sight-unseen, so to speak. Just that Cathy made PS at one point made us want to buy it.

The vines that were torn up were from Kronos, but were not Cab. The cab is still there, but the PS has PaSsed on.

So far have liked what I have had from Corison so I am in - and available for rattage. Would be happy to set aside the books for a bit in fact.

How good is this deal?

Another special offer that is hard to price. Prices for this offers sheet are based on Wine Club discounted prices for other Corison Helios wines. As these appear to be available only via the tasting room or the Wine Club (and the latter does not appear to offer the Merlot), a direct price comparison may not be all that appropriate anyway. But here it is.

Click the link above for full details, CT prices and links, and other info.
