I already bought 2. And I literally have nowhere to put it, or it would have been 3. Good thing I asked for PS at the end of last week's Cyberpub!

Always looking for a new Sirah and 2003 Cab should be good. Franc is just a bonus.
Santa Barabara wines usually pretty good.

I really wish Pennsylvania would get off their collective butts to allow me to have these shipped to me. Nice collection, well worth the price.

I had the absolute best Pinot from the SB valley 20 years ago. Earthy, tobacco and blackberry hints just made me weep. I've yet to find anything like that...could I hope to find that combination in any of these? [i still kick myself for not getting back on the plane to ship a gross...yes, i still kick myself]. I know it's not 1986, but one can dream.

I'd love to click that button, but can't. Wife said I'm not allowed to buy wine for a while, as we just found out we're pregnant with our first. Wish us luck!

You need more than luck.

Oh so tempting!

I was looking at the list of wines earlier and was hoping that those three wines wouldn't be included so I could resist buying for another week. The Cab Franc may push me over the edge though...I have a few Robert Sinskey Cab Francs sitting around which are excellent, but could always use more, I guess

I've never had a Cabernet Franc, and I'm a little wary, but the other two wines are favourites, so I'll give this a try. Sadly, it will mean I can't buy wine for a while...come on labrat! :D

A quick google search revealed this site: http://www.redwinebuzz.com/wrm_ll.htm that provides a little background on the winery. Also, all I could find were good reviews (albeit none of the ones offered here) so it looks like I'm in for 1 again even though I literally have no place to store them at the moment with 6 bottles on the way :-/

I hear you! Each week I stop into Wine.woot to see the offering and the side-deals... knowing, unfortunately, that I'm not able to buy the wine. But, I still have a chance to learn about the various offerings. Ahhhh....so frustrating.

Now off to check out the side deal of chocolate.

Cab Franc is awesome stuff... at least, as awesome as anything not PS, along with Morgon/Brouilly/Moulin-a-Vent Cru Beaujolais, Barbera, and good CS. It is one of the two genetic parents of Cab Sav (along with Sauv Blanc), and is typically more of a medium-bodied wine with less-abundant tannins, more old-world in flavor profile (more herb, and wood aromas -- and veggies in the old world terroir like Chinon -- than CS's more fruit-heavy profile). I highly recommend giving it a try, if for no other reason than to stretch your palate.

Unlike CS, CF also grows decently on the East Coast, especially VA but to a (much) lesser extent, Lawn Guyland as well.

Cab Franc and PS and I'm going out of town for several weeks... sigh, headdesk.

WD anyway I can get woot to hold my shipment for a few weeks if I buy? I would have it shipped to myself in Milwaukee, but all my extra space on the return trip is already spoken for in the form of large format bottles of Sprecher beer for friends (Sprecher only distributes soda, not beer in TX sadly).
