What makes you happy? What made you happy 10 years ago? Focus on those things. Try not to dwell on the past path not taken. No matter what your situation is now, if you can make tomorrow better than today, that's a lot better than nothing.

I watched the tin man last night, it was fairly good, it comes on from the first show tonight at 7:00 PM eastern on sci-fi. You might like it.

you can't cut it away from you completely. it will always be there to some extent, like a scar you got when you were a kid out horsing around. there aren't any quick fixes for the root, just treatments for the symptoms, and you'll have to try a variety to figure out what helps you cope best with the pain. it will only get better gradually as you take the time to heal. someday you may be able to look back fondly at the times before, but perhaps not so fondly as when you enjoyed them as you now remember the pain that ultimately resulted. but your character will continue to grow. someday you'll be able to move again without it bothering you. we'll be here to see you through.

KT, the first set of holidays is the worst, it is brutal. I don't know how I made it through them, but this year is easier. I will suggest that you do new things this year, make some new traditions for yourself. This year will be tough, but believe me, things will get easier.
You should try to take a few days and go visit some friends in a new place. (Ohio is nice)
