The step great nephew christening outfit was so stiff. He couldn't move in it at all. Then she changed him into something else that wasn't that soft.

She always has the deer-in-the-headlights look when it comes to the camera. I am just not quick enough to get her smile. She was actually having a lot of fun. I do like her to wear softer stuff. This was a hand-me-down from my sister-in-law. She was actually baby bear for Halloween, but since that had been sister's costume when sister was 10 months, it was a bit big on her. I don't have any pictures of her by herself in that, oops.

So...I wasn't sure where to put this...in the "what I bought myself" thread or here. Since they aren't really new, I will post them here.

It was an impulse purchase. I saw it, liked how it looked worn...and lastly, it reminded me of someone we once knew...

I am not sure if the plate is really a plate...but I liked the carvings.

I also bought one of these online today. It has some wildly mixed reviews, but I figured I'd give it a go for the price.

I was looking at the portable a/c's a couple years ago. Like you said, mixed reviews. Didn't see any that were both a/c and heater. Something a basement dweller needs?

Djembe. I was trying to come up with the proper name...but it wasn't coming. Thank you KT2. I have never seen one in my travels so...I figured there was a reason it presented itself to me...and I was meant to have it.

Djembes are fairly popular out here. We have a fair amount of Kenyans who come here to go to school.

I love these! I only have a couple, but they are really good. I've bought mine from national parks visitor shops. Daughter likes it and it doesn't get annoying too fast.
