OK.....
So I've been seeing all these weird names out there... Like what celebrities name their poor helpless children.
Any names you are glad are not yours?
Keeping in mind the era in which you were born.....for instance, I'm a baby-boomer, and so glad my parents didn't name me after my paternal grandmother.

I'm grateful my parents didn't name me Eunice...the name they picked for me. When I was born my father said I didn't look like a Eunice and he changed the name.

My sister's in-laws hounded her about when she was going to have a baby- terribly obnoxiously.
She finally told them they had picked a name if she had a girl: Hulga Sludge.
They quit hounding her after that. Named her little girl "Minka"- her husband made it up.

We tried the bike thing. It is amazing how steep the hills seem when you get to our age! (we live at the top of the steepest hill in town) Walking suits us both

During the late 17oo's to mid 1800's, as people moved westward, the Black Swamp got cleared and drained. It used to be an incredible wetlands back then......
We (I) have kept my small part of it, my woods, virtually untouched. I have oak trees here that are estimated to be 3-4 hundred years old. The back part of my property is very wet.
Today when I was mowing the lawn part, I saw lots of little ferns growing around trees. I almost hit a baby rabbit, but I missed it.
I have a hawk family that hunts here.
It's a lot of work, especially on my own, to maintain it, but i won't sell it until I have to.

At first when I read that sentence...I thought you were disappointed that you missed it. heh I'm sure that's not what you meant. Do you go hiking in the woods or is it too wet to do so? Are mosquitos a major problem with the wet and dampness around your property. Still waiting to hear if you met him yet. I have to live fantasies thru you I'm spoken for.

I do not go hiking. Too wet, and yes, mosquitoes are a major issue. Also a lot of poison ivy around the perimeter of the woods where the sun hits.
I was VERY happy I didn't hit the bunny!! Its cute little eyes!!
No, I have not met surgeon yet.
We will see....

I'm trying, for the third consecutive night, to watch the end of "Sweet Home Alabama"
on the USA network.
I saw it on an airplane the first time.
Friday and Sat nights' viewings got interrupted by phone calls.
Not unwelcome calls, but still....
It's a chick flick, I was in the middle of a good cry, and ...Boom!

I really hate people who park in the middle of the road.
Especially when there is enough space not that far from where they have decided it was easiest to stop their vehicle.

There's some Ovaltine commercials on the radio that I would just like to have banned. I will never buy it because of that.
