Bats, and I don't mean baseball bats. My house has wood shakes on the roof, and the bats like to hide underneath them.

On one hand, they are cute furry flying mammals. They eat their weight in mosquitoes and other bugs every night.

On the other hand, they can carry rabies, and SARS, and a host of other diseases.

I found another dead bat in my yard (third one this year)! I may never leave the house again.

How exactly does any of that relate???? That is some serious angst, of which I am not aware that I conveyed in my dislike of Moon Pies.

I just think they are too salty. I get tricked every time I buy one, which is approximately every 7 or 8 years.

The moonpie encompasses all that is sweet...pure...even spiritual. Battles have been fought, art has been inspired and life itself has been conceived over its chocolate/vanilla/banana coated, marshmallow-filled, gooey goodness.

To say one hates moonpies is like swearing an oath against God and country.
