Lost & your +1: thank you so much for hosting such a nice event in our honor. It was great to see some of our old friends and meet some new ones--esp cortot & his +1 and tytiger. The food was so good and those tritips were quite excellent!

Thank you also for getting out the equipment that I needed to make the salad. By now, you should have found the Romano cheese in a TJ's bag and a half a lemon in the door. The lemon should probably be put in a baggie, if you haven't used it yet.

My WOTN was Scotts '01 grand reserva. A close 2nd was kyles corked Prioriat. ;)

Edit: Candace really liked the Campesino Rose and a runner up was the 1+1=3 Cava that I think Mark brought.

The 1+1 was someone else. I brought the Poema Cava Brut Rose, that quickly disappeared!

There should be a dessert category, with the 2005 Bella Vista Late Harvest PS there (instead of in the Reds), along with:

the Sherry tytiger58 brought, as well as the NV St. John Commandaria I brought (empty bottle claimed by CJ).

And thanks the lost and his lovely SWMBO for hosting!

So who lost the bet on mine and tytiger58's tie for first arrivals?

Thanks to Lost and your lovely +1. I had a wonderful time getting reacquainted with our locals and some far-flung wooters.

As a bonus, I sampled 4 new varietals for the Double Century Club: Loureiro (Quinta Da Avelda), Greco (NovaSerra Greco Di Tufo), and from the terrific Cyprus dessert wine St. John Commandaria, both Mavro and Xynisteri.

Until next time....

Not at all, it was very tasty ... but I heard there was something off when it was in the decanter for several hours. I didn't get to try it again, so I can't verify. Could have been Adam and his Yak palate.

Only 11 more for me to get to that Double!

I think I still have 3 or so in the locker to open to help!

I think we might have one here that is fairly rare that we've been holding off on opening.

For those wondering, Samso is the Catalunyan name for Carignane it appears, or possibly Cinsault. No new Century Club grape there!

I stopped counting bottles. My CT

Added Mavro and Xynisteri for the St. John Commandaria, and deleted the Bell Vista [no image] PS dupe.
