We have a friend that lives there and may possibly incorporate that location (and obviously additional parts of CA) into part of a trip that would happen sometime between the wide-ranging span of mid-May and November. Just curious which wooter(s) would be throwing our welcoming party if we made the trip?

As well as a potential gathering (probably West LA area), the Santa Barbara Wine area isn't far north of Ventura. Larry of Tercero would welcome us.

So if not a gathering, a wine tasting weekend is possible!

What? Are you kidding? This is Buffalo. Temps were in the 30s when you wrote this post and then, went into the 20s overnight. There was also a High Wind Advisory during the day. It was not a pretty day. We are in for a roller coaster of a week temperature-wise. Should be back to 60 by Wednesday before another cold front comes through. It is February, after all.

I keep forgetting you have super powers that allow you to do all those crazy things, like ride a bike in beyond cold conditions

seriously.... stay healthy with all those crazy temperature changes!

Today is our cool day, it is only going to be in the mid 70's... then back to the 80's next week...

Actually, we had a high of 71 degrees on Friday when we did that bike ride.i was able to ride quite a bit faster in 71 degrees than in 38 degrees!

Did I mention recently how much I hate Amazon Payments?

So much that I may forego buying from Ww anymore!

Even though I've shipped to my wine locker before from here, when I got a new card (card was compromised in Dec.), it won't let me ship there until I verify it on the Amazon site.

Nothing here to let me fix it. Irritating!

Edit: Of course, nothing like a Wellington (possibly the last one?) Mystery case and offers from Ty and Scott to loosen the purse strings!

Interesting...
I just had to add a card to my alternate reality account to ship to FedEx.
No additional verification was requested or required.

So you are buying 6 cases of Wellington?

A solid 24 hours of rain.
Two + inches @ KSAN breaking the all time record of 1.6" in a 24 hour period.
Nearly four inches in other areas.
Still raining...
Hard.
SD river 12' over flood level.
and..
An extra cabby ftw.

Ended up with ~3" where I am and over 4" just west. River peaked at 14.1 feet, second highest by a report I heard. Lots of debris and erosion runoff on the two lane coming up to where we are.
Those totals may not sound like much to many, but for here a real it gets a lot of attention.
Let's not even talk about CA drivers in the rain.
No sinkholes that I heard of down here tho...

So Peter sells it and ships to wcc, then the order from RJQ gets sent back to Peter!? I'm so confused... at least with Klez, Klez can poach from the boxes. But Peters only going to find his own wine.

No matter where you are, 3-4" of rain is a whole lot, I'd think. Snow, not really worth notice, but that's a whole lot of rain.
