from wikipedia:

As of April 1, 2014, the city had an estimated population of 963,267 and a total area of 489.60 km². The average population density is thus 1,967 persons per km².

The 1986 family movie Koneko Monogatari was filmed here. The English version of the film, which is the story of the friendship of a kitten and a pug dog, was released in America in 1989 as The Adventures of Milo and Otis.

Things are slow in the PWA. Elsewhere in woot too.

Got to the high 80s today but it cooled off with some rain. Stayed stuffy inside. I'm not ready to put the A/Cs in yet. A fan will have to suffice.

We turned the AC on a couple days ago. We like to turn it off at night if it's cool enough, but although it's cool the humidity is way high. We've been in the upper 80s and the dew point in the mid to upper 60s. We keep the bedroom ceiling fan on at night.

Ours is central air, it goes on automatically and has been off and on since last month! The other day it was 91. Geez its only May. We have ceiling fans in each room upstairs that stay on all year. Downstairs we use standing fans.

Yep, our central air has been on since April also. Love my ceiling fans. Welcome to Spring in VA!

The central air is on, even though right now it's not all that hot, but it's really, really humid, so the AC takes care of that. Then the ceiling fans handle the stuffiness. Only have the fans on in the rooms I'm likely to be in. Right now, the kitchen and office. I keep reading that they don't make it cooler unless they're blowing on you.

Went with husband this morning, he had an MRI scheduled for 7:45. Got there and discovered he screwed up, it's tomorrow. Two good things: they gave us the paperwork so I see no reason for me to go tomorrow (he panics with the medical paperwork) and, number two, THE RED LIGHT WAS ON AT KRISPY-CREME SO THE CAR TURNED THERE!!!

My phone gave me a weather alert, supposed to be 90s Sun through Wed, so Orc put the AC in the window yesterday. Today they have the wall in my bedroom ripped apart again (They didn't successfully fix it last year when they ripped it apart). Here's hoping it doesn't leak again when the rains return in the fall/winter.

we were hot last week (broke records) but cool today, only in 50's. maybe because we put in the window a/c units.

that sounds pretty awful, having your wall rip apart. hope it doesn't cause too many problems.

We've been in the apartment almost 3 years. Last summer they took both windows out and rebuilt the wall, but then in November it started leaking again. Worst part - we're on the second of three floors. It's just that this one section overhangs out and actually has a little flat roof, maybe 2'-3'.

What's bad is we were going to order two each and coffee, but before we could order the nice lady handed each of us one. We still ordered two each, so we each had three. It's her fault.

Just out of curiosity, how many times a day do you have to sign in to Woot? I signed in twice today, but when the Basket of Chocolate came up, they said I needed to sign in.

For security, we require you to log back in when making purchases, accessingpersonal data (your account, purchase history), etc. I'm not sure what the time limit is though. It's similar to how you have to log into Amazon to complete your purchase (well, unless you have one-click turned on).

On vacation until 6/3. I will not answer private messages.
To contact Customer Service, use the SUPPORT form at the top of every woot page
••• ► Woot's Return Policy ◄ ••• ► Did you check your spam/junk folders for a CS reply?
CANCEL?? How to cancel your order in the first 2 hours!! - except orders with Woot-Off or expedited items

hahahaha I had my colonoscopy today, and my prep yesterday, so I figured I'd avoid any extra crap. I did score some of the cheap random tees and zip up hoodies though.

(and my colonoscopy was much easier than I imagined it might be)
