2013 Signal Ridge Tiny Pink Bubbles Sparkling Wine I have no idea why I bought this but threw a 6 pack in with my order from Berserker day. Really glad I did tho it's not sweet shows a lot of red apples, bread dough, really fine mousse and delicious on a hot day Kind of reminds me of that Sinnet from a few years ago and at $99 for 6 I will blow through these really quick. I'm ready for the hot weather.

Poured through an aerator and let it sit for 20 min or so. Drank over 2 nights, vacuvin for day 2. Don't feel it gained anything on day 2, but didn't lose much either. How do Carlisle wines taste on day 3? "The (my) world may never know"

Definite hold. Disjointed now but there is potential for something special.

Edit: Saving half for day 2.

If you go to the Roy Piper website, he tastes through his (high end) cab's. Each one he opened in the morning and tasted in the evening. Could be the 2014 needs a hold or an 8 hour decant.

Taking a '12 TO Spaniard to dinner tonight with my in-laws.

We'll likely open one more bottle after dinner that I'll grab from my FIL's cellar.

Sounds risky. There are a lot of wines that would suffer by comparison with the Spaniard.

Along with some Monkey 2nd Prize, and EHP, and Adequate Gift, and maybe one or two other Woot Cellars offerings.

Oh yeah - and a bottle of Polyphemus!

I haven't drank a lot of Cali Cabs, but the '83 Clos Du Val we drank 3 or 4 years ago was impressive. I can see why they did well at the original Judgment of Paris. It held its own against these other guys that day.

(N.B. Back in '83 the prices of the Bordeaux were far closer to the price of the Clos Du Val than they are today.)
