Serious question time. (Oh, and Happy Thanksgiving and Hanukkah!...[EDIT] AND TOP OF THE PAGE!)

This has probably been covered before...

So, when you go out to dinner do you tip the typical 15-20% on the cost of the wine??? Thinking that's not required...But wasn't sure. Was curious how others do it???

I forget what the general answer around is. What I would say (keep in mind I am an accountant and don't typically buy bottles of wine when I go out to eat, will generally have a glass though) is that when buying a bottle of wine, you tip, but generally not the full 15-20%. I would say 10-15%, and personally, I would tip on my estimated retail value of the wine, not the marked-up restaurant value. With that being said, all of these are variable and the tip would depend on the service, presentation of the wine, whether there is a sommelier, etc.

Yeah, it's true. It has to do with how the Gregorian and Jewish calendars move against each other. The Jewish calendar is slowly moving later in the year while (iirc) the Gregorian is moving slightly earlier, making the coincidence more improbable over time.

Little Vineyards is back on Woot. Had to order a case of the band blend. Great wine. Easy screwtop. Blend changes with each track (vintage). Wonder if I really will give some as gifts.

Seldom check sellout, shoulda; gone early last night. Good on you and CAGrl for grabbing.

Anyone else take note this, so far, has been a WINE woot-off with no fillers?

I updated my CT... hadn't really touched it in a year. I wanted to see how the "drink now" algorithm worked...

Cool feature. Now I know what to drink next! (Champagne, oh darn).

Hey TT,

Do you have the ability to check the status of a return? (Same return I asked you about a while ago.) It was returned on 10/15 by FedEx and still nothing. I sent an email to support, but haven't heard anything back. Order #: 46xxxxx.
