Hubby just never understood that legally they don't have to empty a can that weighs more than 40 pounds. Not that they ever left the trash, but I can't carry the can most of the time because it weighs too much.

So zea, congratulations on the new can!
How are you getting rid of the old one? I found hiding it in really big plastic garbage bags is the only way.

Actually, this is an addition to our trashcan family. No one will be booted out at this time! I plan to use it to put sand in.

Nope, call me a softy, but I just can't stand to look at all those poor, forlorn, 3rd world trash cans laying abandon in muddy trails around a squalid village. How could I possibly sentance any trashcan of mine to such a fate?

You missed an amazing deal last week...a code that gave you 70% off everything. I bought nearly $200 of stuff...which would have been a great deal more.

I tried to get mrs. cz to go to Ikea today to look at this. She didn't want to go.

I have a $100 gift card to IKEA to use. I am going to look at the organizational things. We got rid of the toaster oven which had a small wire basket that we kept mail or stuff in. I need something to sit on the counter or wall now to replace it.

Heh. No. That's D'Name. I had a toaster oven that we never used. It had a small wire basket on top that housed some mail and stupid things like keys that I didn't know where they went to, special pieces of hardware that I didn't know where they came from, etc...

A junk basket. Was it an organized junk basket?

It was. It had very little junk in it, but I am waiting for the day I will need a key that was in the basket or the bracket...

I don't have junk drawer per se...

I have one drawer that houses all batteries...like those enormous packs from BJ's...all sizes.

Another drawer has all my meds.

Another drawer has two-three menus, some refills for the plug in atomizer things, two bingo daubers, a light timer, special edged scissors, packing tape, measuring tape & floral wire.

We've got a junk / catch-all drawer or two. I think two is the correct number. Just
put stuff in there that doesn't have anywhere else to live.

If you actually know everything that's in it, it's not really a junk drawer.
I ran through about 3/4ths of ours last week because it wouldn't close anymore...
several small screwdrivers, a leatherman tool, a small hammer with a screwdriver in the handle, odd keychains, a half dozen books/boxes of matches, loose batteries, paper clips, a dog chain clasp, a small lava lamp nightlight, many little post-it type pads, push pins, a couple of business card magnets, spilled little clear boxes of nails and screws, lots of sharpies, dry erase markers, pens and golf pencils, a Hot Wheels car...and a bunch of other junk.

Edit: and three spools of floral wire...

OK...I don't think you really want a NLBOC, though...it might include last week's litter box contents and a couple of dog dookies from the backyard.

I have a drawer full of number birthday candles. But no 3s. And everyone's in their 30s.

I don't have junk drawers since we remodeled the kitchen, but I have several miscellaneous drawers. And I have almost every key labeled. *buffing fingernails on shirt*

When we flew over Montana on our way back from Seattle at night...it was basically all black whereas there were many other cities that had an amber glow from a multitude of lights. I think you know what I mean...

Things I connect with MA...
Socialism.
Eroding loss of individual freedoms and responsibility.
Tanglewood. The Cape. Drivers who deal with traffic signs and signals as "suggestions".

And, of course, our dear ms. kt.
Take care folks, peace to all. Nitetime for neo...

From what I can tell, my current video card supports dual monitors so I've bought an Acer 19" LCD @ NewEgg and am going to try to set it up. Woohoo!

Had to get son a new video card as well.

Today I went and bought a few cans of paint. This sitting around and doing nothing is not for me. Time to get the kitchen ready for a coating. If anyone needs a room painted let me know.
