2007 IH Ocean Reserve Blanc de Blancs, purchased right here on Woot. Our 1-year wedding anniversary (after only 18 years together, total newbies compared to Ron), and we decided to cancel our dinner reservations and chill right here at home. Very relaxing and fun, and we didn't have to go out in the raging thunderstorm. The wine was great, glad I have another one left.

Congrats! Here's to many more.

Clearly you don't have the advanced degree in Procrastination I/we possess.
Her second, and she should have known better. I, otoh, have just entered this new phase of schooling.

Congrats, and may you have many more.

Pleased with this, especially at under $15. No overly complex, but still has some life in it.
Plenty of sed too; decant.
With Grilled ribeye, taters and brussels sprouts; following a cevichi and a prosecco.

I recall getting some absolutely killer Pinot from the mixed case (the offering from the infamous "crazy lady" event).

I have another bottle of that Pinot chilling in the wine fridge for a rainy day, hope it evolves.

2005 Meeks Hilltop Ranch Zinfandel. This one has aged so gracefully, with none of the raisiny character some (though not I) find objectionable. Soft and smooth, full of luscious fruit, not a hint of heat, despite the 15.6% ABV.
Two nights ago, on the hill watching Shakespeare's Henry V with a friend, we had a 2006 Kent Rasmussen Carneros Pinot Noir and a 2009 Kosta Browne Sonama Coast Pinot Noir. All three of us thought the Kosta Browne was far superior. Then today I did a little research, and discovered that Wine Spectator proclaimed it their Wine of the Year in 2011. Then it was $52 a bottle. Due mainly to their accolades, if you can find it, you'll pay 3 times that much or more. Thanks to HAK, I got three of them and a bunch more for a dollar.

I think it actually may need some more time to integrate. Either that or this just wasn't my style, at least not tonight. I have one more that I'll hold until next summer.

And I have no idea what changed.
