We had Fenestra 2004 Silvaspoons Vineyard Port and 2008 Ty Caton Ty's Red. Now I'm sipping on single barrel Elijah Craig - I think it's cask strength.

Hey lost...Buttonwood was having a case clearout on some old wines, including the 2006 Cab Franc. Got their last 9 bottles

Cant believe you were in our stomping grounds and didn't let me know! hope you guys made it to Tercero as well. I take it you liked the Buttonwood cab franc? I was not a fan of their latest vintage but have enjoyed their older cab francs...

Kind of last minute "planning" but we stayed up there in Los Padres NF. Next to a rave in the woods, no less. Also met up with time2testit and his rhwmbo...we enjoyed Buttonwood - came home with a mixed case of older wines for $100 and 2 bottles of 2010 CF. We got the royal treatment at Tercero and it was awesome. Restrained myself and came back with 6 bottles...including some pink crack to compare to the Liquid Farm version.

We should have - maybe they would have been nice in the tasting room. The dude who was pouring for us was rather disinterested. Although we talked to the owners' grandson for a bit and he was pretty cool. Yes, also got some '10 CF to go with the mega-deal case of library wine.

No, that was Buttonwood. time2testit's club pricing applied for us at Tercero but no megadeals. Just lots of barrel samples and reasons to go back.

Alba Vineyard Old Mill Red (NV), from...

wait for it...

Warren Hills, New Jersey.

Nice nose, tangy cherries, fair tannins, and a touch of sweetness on the finish.

Mom liked it, especially the picture of the Old Red Mill on the label. The dirty Jerz, who knew?

edit: Forgot to mention it features Chambourcin, adding another varietal to my double-century club quest.
