Sounds like a fun time. Safe travels and all that.

After two days of little sleep, I conked out last night. Still dragging a bit this morning.

Sleep is such a pia.

Some nights you sleep great.

Some nights you are up every few minutes.

You don't get to pick which it will be!

If I close this pwa, eventually, what should we do with starting a new one?

Cruzer is becoming a new dad some time this week!
I don't think we are very high on his interest list right now.

Since there's no longer a need to close it, just leave it open.

argument against dname locking pwa: tthighs said it wasn't necessary, and iirc:

dontwantaname wrote:Is that what happens when we lock it now?

I tried unlocking it, but I still couldn't find it.

edit:

I hit delete on the first post, by mistake, and the entire thread went with it.

if it gets locked anyway:

AZGman wrote:Yammer away for now.

But I suggest if cruzer doesn't make an appearance by tomorrow evening, that PWA gets rebuilt by whomever gets last post in all future iterations.

no1 wrote:imho this makes a lot more sense than tasking a particular individual, since the last poster is (almost by definition) always going to be there to start a new thread, whereas any given name (for example, dname) mite not be.

pooflady wrote:This is a good idea.

the conversation was not too difficult to find. i remembered that there was at least one pwa thread that cruzer did not start. once i found it, the first post gave me the approximate date to look for a conversation about it. then just look in yammer posts around just before that date.

fortunately the pwa thread that you started wasn't the one that dname deleted!

Just fyi, in six days it will be five years that I've been using that roll of plastic wrap, and I use it nearly every day. Really convenient with it sitting on the counter. When it's gone, I'm getting another one.

Just an aside, the Jeopardy winner tonight was from Carrollton, Texas, and also belongs to some kind of Geek Girls club.

Sounds like somebody that would work for Woot.

Carrollton - 1
Rest of the World - 0

That's very cool. I didn't get a chance to see it.

Okay, people, where is everybody? It's been raining off and on here all day. Haven't had the baseball-sized hail they were talking about. Yet. We were going out for breakfast, but the sky looked so nasty we turned around and came back. I had to go to the bank and two stores. Made it in and out of two of them and into the third with no rain. Out of the third - not so lucky, got wet.

Dr appt. He was running late.

Went to Dunkin Donuts, spilled part of my ice coffee.

Dropped off prescriptions. They didn't have any of them, so have to go back tomorrow.

One of the prescriptions isn't covered by insurance. Pharmacist said there was over the counter stuff. Ask the doctor.
Doctor said, not anywhere near as good as the prescription. It is for a wart. Maybe I'll pay, because it should be gone by the time I finish one prescription.

Mother in law called, needed someone to drop off her prescription. So, did that.

So...although today hasn't been awful, it isn't over yet.

also, did this girl on People's court see what her makeup looks like??? Huge purple lips.
Also, why weren't big asses in style when I was young? Not as big as purple lip girls, I don't think anyone wants one that big.

also... why do people call and then not answer when you say hello? We know it is a sales call when nobody is there right away!

I wonder if it will rain before I walk Rusty?

That is all.

they're calling a bunch of phones at the same time. after you say hello, they have to pick out which phone was actually answered and assign the line to a sales dude before they can start talking.

I just picked up a prescription today that had to be "preapproved" by the insurance company. Bunch of crap, didn't have to be on my last insurance. Went round and round and said to hell with it and paid full price. Can't wait to get rid of AARP UnitedHealthcare.

My mother pays almost nothing for any of her stuff. No copay at any doctor. Low copays on any drug.

She would die if she saw my copays.

She has medicare and a private insurance.

The wart isn't dangerous in any way. It is just annoying to look at. If it will be gone with one prescription, I'll pay. The damn prescription is almost $200! The dr is mailing me a $20 off card. Woo hoo.
