They don't include much info about the wine, so you really need to know what you're looking at in order to decide whether or not to buy. By the time I check CT and possibly WineSearcher, it is usually gone already. If only I knew more about wine... :-/

I have found it is best to buy one then go back and buy the second if it is still there. You may miss the sale when adding more bottles to your cart.

Was $35 the last Marathon. A St. Damien Gigondas also jumped from $35 to $39. Most of the wines that have been offered previously are at least a couple $$$ more this time. Halcon Esquisto was $23 last time, $25 this time. Just FYI, still good deals and I grabbed a couple Halcons.

bummed. That was less expensive than what I just paid for some, but not by much.

Work has ~really~ gotten in the way today.
First time since 0700 I've been even able to think about looking.

Well even if you could be watching LB like a hawk, the wines are changing so rapidly it is difficult to successfully complete a purchase. I've managed to buy one so far, and missed out on three that I had an interest in.

I have been checking back and forth all day with vinelog.com. Pretty nice being able to see what I missed and then realize I didn't miss much (that I would have been interested in anyway). I spent too much on the TSO magnum marathon. Glad this week is over.

Ty Caton Sonoma Valley Cabernet 2011 on 'tso for $20.

Now #5...?
WTSO currently has the 2011 Ty Caton Sonoma Valley Cabernet for $19.99 with free shipping on 4 or more.

Would those of you experienced with this wine say that's a good deal? Or is this representative of the price inflation I've read about for Ty's wines?

Thanks in advance.

It's the same one that's been on WTSO before, for the same price. In fact it's a WTSO exclusive.

Don't think so - that one is designated Winemakers' Reserve. This looks like (by the photo) the regular TyC label.

Woot has had some decent Toccata Super Tuscan's near this price in an earlier incarnation, and even this one way-back-when.
That would be before the 'troubles'.

UGGGH---my only shipping option is $57! And you have to go the extra step of going to the actual website to use the redemption code from restaurant.com....so my wine is actually over $12/bottle!

What do y'all think about the Caymus 40th Anniversary Cabernet that's on pre-sale?
Do we need a couple of bottles in the cellar?
I saw it on Cindy & WL and various others.
