Hi All,
Just a quick note from a very stinky new apartment. I miss Arizona, but can't afford to live where I went on vacation. May see if my cousin has a carpet cleaner I can borrow. All I can smell is cigarette smoke and I am not feeling good.

Jaws, ask your new neighbors about a carpet cleaner. Sometimes they run specials and it isn't much more expensive than doing it yourself.

Apple spice muffins in the oven. We are getti. Ready to go back to the beach tomorrow. Daughter and Elizabeth are going with us.

Have a great day!

Sprinkle with baking soda. Let it sit for 20-30 minutes and vacuum up. With cigarette smoke, it's super tough to completely remove the odor because it gets into EVERYTHING--the carpet, the padding, the walls...Having all the walls sealed with something like killzit and then painted helps a lot, but the carpet and padding sometimes have to just be replaced. Talk with the landlord and see if they have mitigation options.

new topic, apropos of nothing -

in the institution in which i am incarcerated, they only use dell computers. my monitor is height adjustable and can swivel from landscape to portrait position.

see this page for dell's selection of professional monitors; i suspect (though i have not checked for sure) that they all are height-adjustable and pivotable.

http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/sna.aspx?~topic=snp_professional_monitor_offers

i have no idea if they are good or bad, as i have nothing to compare them to. however, i find them acceptable for my porpoises.

what's on your desk?

We are sorry...

There was an error processing your request. If continue experiencing technical problems with your shopping experience at Dell.com,

A little problem with your link. However, I went to dell.com and the only 24" they have under $200 doesn't have HDMI.

Currently, I have a 22" Samsung.

Also have decided I don't need the adjustable height as long as there's only about 3, 4' between the desktop and the screen.

the 22" has DVI and is $200.

if you're really hung up on a big display and hdmi over having an adjustable height monitor, your tv mite have an hdmi input. mite be hard to watch castle and surf the net at the same time, tho.

Looking at ASUS V5239H. I'd have to buy an HDMI cable and speakers. It's on Amazon for $155.90/

There was no web in the 80s. You need to switch from a browser to gopher.

wait another decade or so, and you'll be able to cash in on the geocities of crap

the cell block here also frequently blocks the woot image cache server. when that happens all the cached pics across all the woot sites look like broken pic links.
