UNEXPECTED BUMMER- Looks like NJ is not a valid state to ship this great selection into. Which is strange because I am a member of the Wall Street Journal Wine Club and they ship me wine on a regular basis to NJ. Anuyone have any insight here? Wonder why this seller can't ship to NJ.

Oh wow, I didn't miss the balsamic afterall?!? I spent my entire work day, and a significant portion of my evening on my phone refreshing wine.woot just to get the balsamic (I was out with friends and being very anti-social checking my phone every 5 minutes...). But alas, a girl has to sleep sometime. I somehow just knew it would pop up at 11:45, an hour after I called it quits and went to sleep... This gives me hope that it will make an appearance this week or next!

Every seller has to get a permit from every state they want to ship to.

I tried these at our local wine shop since they were doing a tasting of them. I wouldn't pay $3 a bottle for any of these. I'll pass.

Meh - an interesting collector item if you are (still) doing the empty bottle display on top of your kitchen cabinets - (yes yes it wasn't that long ago for me either)...but I am happy to finally be in a place to be picky about wine and have a more mature palate for it...it was the 1979 Chambourcin that Basignani served during dinner...it was amazing!
I'm not saying that these may not be good wines, I just believe that a good wine will sell itself with out the pop culture ad on. I do however also know that winemaking is a tough business, so I don't barrel-bash the viticulturists for the sales boost potential.
The fans will most likely not be disappointed, but I'm going to pass. That's money better spent elsewhere

looking forward to hearing from the winery today, especially about the 2008 vintage for the Pink Floyd The Dark Side of the Moon Cabernet Sauvignon - the 2008 is a new release.

pulling corks again on all these in a few to gather some current tasting notes from WD & Co...stay tuned.

If there is a Denver/Boulder wooter who is dying for balsamic, I ordered two when they were offered a few months ago and haven't opened them yet (still have some from last year). They've been stored in the 55 degree wine cellar room. I'd be willing to part with one of them if someone wants one for the holidays.

Just can't pull the trigger on these...too kitschy for me. I love a great label, but I'd prefer that I know that it's a reasonably good wine behind the label. I'm inclined to pick up a bottle in the store if the label catches my eye and the winery has a bit of a good reputation. But based on a lot of the comments on this board regarding the wines (and I've learned to trust the folks on this board), this is just too darn gimmicky with no foundation of substance. Gonna pass...

I've tried the stones and pink floyd wine. Much to my surprise they were fantastic. Thought they would look nice (which they did) but tasted great. Sent a gift of Police wine to a friend and they loved it also. Have not tried the dead. can't wait to.

Did it dawn on people that the Balsamic people have to agree to sell their product on here? Winedavid can't MAKE them offer a deal. I'm sure he tried.

In for one on this deal. Great display behind the bar and another set to gift

Hi all - Ron here from Wines That Rock and we're jumping in to follow our 1st Wine.Woot! We know some folks have pointed out that we are just "slapping" cool labels on bottles, but our winemaker Mark Beaman takes his blending of wine and music serious...so who says music can't inspire a great glass of wine...and have some fun along the way.

musicgirl28, It's great that you have had these wines. Can you provide some tasting notes for the ones you have had, or other background information on the types of wines you like. What is the style of these?
I see you also joined Woot today and have yet to purchase this deal about which you rave... are you affiliated with the winery or distributor?

Hi Texacaliali - the idea really hit when we noticed that almost every time we were drinking wine there was music somewhere in the background - at a bar, before a concert, home having dinner or watching TV/movies, at parties, etc. And the music my crowd listens to is rock - so why not explore combining both and creating a lifestyle connection - so began Wines That Rock!

I know that folks are dying for some basalmic, but honestly, we're getting away from the point of today's offer, which is not basalmic. I am however, sympathetic because I know how good it is, and want to encourage you all to start a thread up about it so you can swap, unload extras, or do what you need to do to get your fix.

And now back to our scheduled discussion...

Hi. Howard J from Wines That Rock. Thought it was worth mentioning that our vineyard is the Mendocino Wine Co. It's a fifth generation vineyard - family farmed, sustainably grown, premium Mendocino County fruit is used in the creation of these wines.

Happy to be doing our first Wine.Woot!

I would think the higher cost is likely due to them having to pay licensing $$$'s to each band to use their logo/name. So, it makes sense.

I REALLY hope you had permission from the bands, or you should be prepared for their lawyers...
