I picked up a pair with credits. I saw it was on wine.woot back in Feb. The comments on CT are somewhat complimentary but the ratings are not extraordinary. Any feedback from wooters that bought it in Feb?

Did I make the right choice?

Did anyone catch the 2007 Tallulah Bald Mountain Ranch up on WTSO yesterday for $14.99 - my cellartracker said I paid about $24 off woot. Not cool to see it $10 cheaper.

Not sure I've seen the 2007 yet on woot, it was the 2006 I got earlier here, but I did pick me up some 2007.

They don't have the $80 Arrowood for 2 for $50 this time?

Another $16 WTSO offering, RustRidge Winery Chiles Valley, Napa Valley
Estate Bottled Cabernet Sauvignon 2004 Library Selection.
Not much on CT, except community value $40 and high 80's.
The '03 and '06 are $50 on the RR site.
Wondering if any have thoughts on a budget Napa CS?

I was ready to pull the trigger on this and half way through the check out the next deal came up and I couldn't order this :-(

I was at a tasting in Pope Valley a month ago and RustRidge was there. They had some of the best wines at the event hands down, including a fabulous chard, and their cabs were darn good too. I thought this was a steal for an aged Napa Valley cab, hope you guys were able to get in on it.

FYI I ordered some 1997 and 2007 from Lot18 at a higher price - they were both corked, undrinkable - Lot18 gave me full credit, no questions asked, which leads me to believe others had the same issue.

Lot18 is having more layoffs. Proof that flooding the market with vouchers isn't that great of a business strategy?

That's sad, I think their business model needs some minor tweaks to compete with the other flash sites. They get some good wines, but I think they get killed with the shipping. Initially I thought their new shipping change was good, but now after thinking about going in on a few wines, I find that it was actually a step in the wrong direction.

PS - Guess we better use those vouchers up soon....you never know.

That's a shame, as they do make some nice wines. I got some of their 2005 Cab from WTSO and it's been fine.

IMHO one big plus about wine.woot is the wine comes directly from the winery, vs WTSO and Lot18, who I know source a lot of their wine from distributors, so the provenance could be questionable. Unfortunately they think nothing about shipping your wine across country during a heat wave in the middle of the summer in an unrefrigerated UPS/FexEx truck :-(

I was going to post about this also! I bought some a couple of months ago based on the recommendations here, and I thought it was very good. And it's $1 less then the previous time! I'm going back for more.

Hmmm, I've still got free shipping there for a couple of days. Am I right in assuming that the orders on RLL will go through the same summer shipping standards we get here on Woot?

I am thinking about going in on the Allobroges.

Nice data point.
Based on the comments re: Allobroges and some WW Syrah and Left Bank comments, and that I missed the earlier woots, grabbed a few of the combo pak. Cheaper than three of each.

At 14.99, seems worth taking a risk on. Although, I'm a little suspicious when WTSO sells wine without having their in house guy pimp them with his own ratings.

This arrived yesterday and this evening I impatiently drank a bottle. It was excellent. I will be buying more wine from WTSO! Much wider selection of European wine than woot - although I sorely miss the depth of discussion and context.
