Wow, if I sent an email like that, I'd be looking for interview tips too.
Having been through two company buyouts/mass firings and one company bankruptcy in the past five years, I've had more interviewing practice than I wanted at my age. Nothing like working in a very unstable industry. My best advice is to not try to say what you think they want to hear - they already know what that sounds like 'cause they've heard it all before, over and over again. Focus on who you are and why you will make them more profitable and make the boss's job easier.
I started out on Burgundy but soon hit the harder stuff. Bob Dylan, Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues
How on earth did I get 7 QPs?

don't be, pity me. I don't really enjoy working in a place that is that messed up. We laugh all the time about how at ANY other place on earth we'd have all been fired long, long ago. At this point, it's kind of like, what can I get away with today.

What are they expecting, how will you fit in, what will you contribute, if you don't already know.
Clothes? Other than jeans and a T-shirt what else it there, never interviewed in anything else. Lucky I guess, but I don't have to convey an image to the public, just do what I do and do it well. Take me or leave me.
you must work in science or code. I work in science. I interviewed in a suit, then showed up with a crazy beard and jeans and a tshirt. nobody ever questioned it, so I went with it.

A week later I told my coworker the Meth Cheetah had been disemboweled and eaten by the apathy lion.

Beer with the wings. Sorry I didn't see your post earlier. You should have given me a call! Hmmm. I have your numbers. Do you have mine?
