AVA: Designation of the wine’s appellation.

MONOPOLE: The French version of Monopoly.

NOSE: The thing in the middle of your face. Use it to smell the hints of pepper and dried flower aromas in this wine.

PINOT NOIR: Refers to Vitis vinifera, the species of the grape offered here today. Wait, this stuff is made of grapes?
