Soil: Mainly clay
Varietals: Montepulciano, Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon
Aging: 5 -6 months in French Oak ; 6 months in Bottle
Alcohol: 13.0%

Residual Sugar: 4.97 g/l

The Picens presents with deep and intense ruby red color. Aromas of red fruits, particularly raspberries and cherries. The wine is smooth and rounded, with its development slightly acidic. The finish is long, intense and lingering. The tannic structure is present yet not too aggressive. The Picens is an excellent combination with a first course; can be paired with poultry, grilled meats and vegetables, or bold fishes such as swordfish or tuna steak.
