What The Shell?
We don't know about you, but we're in it for the shell.
Don't get us wrong: this 2013 Chateau d'Abalone Verdejo is delicious. It's very delicious, actually. After all, it's the first 100% Verdejo from any coastal county in California, and with aromas and flavors of green apple, passionfruit, grapefruit, lemon, and even mineral, we can see how this wine would be a big draw.
But honestly, we're too distracted to think about that. How could we not be? We've got this Abalone Shell to think about! How often do you get a chance to get a seashell with your wine? And not just any seashell but a seashell that was plucked from the Ocean Rose Abalone Farm instead of being ripped from a rock in the wild?
Again, you're ordering wine, but you're also getting a shell. A shell! What more is there to say?
