They sure are hard to cheer for, even harder to watch. Living in Ohio my entire life, I have sprung for the MLB online package for the past several years and painfully watch at least 80% of the games each year.

I've bought several items from woot before, but I was a wine.woot virgin until today. (It helps that I've moved to a state that allows wine to be shipped!) These wines seemed too good to pass up. Don't let me down, Page Cellars!

I'd just like to give a hat tip to those that sourced this item. It's precisely the kind of offer I would personally enjoy seeing more of--ie, boutique, family-run winery clearly making quality juice that cannot normally be purchased much beyond the confines of their tasting room. And while I love California, I'm all for a regular helping of the Pacific Northwest.

What's the drinking window for the 2006 Preface and Syrah? Thanks

What's the max temp to ship in? I've typically tried to stay away from buying when it hits the mid 80's, but I've heard people go into the 90's. I'm tempted to click, but wondering what other's do. Also, drinking window?

While very drinkable now our wines are made to last. I always advise people to check with us annually to see where the specfic vintages are. That being said, If you want to lay it down for several more years, not a problem. We just got into an 03 the other day and it was a beautiful wine still with lots of life. Cheers! jim

We are very aware of where the wines are being shipped, sometimes we will ship with ice packs and double box for protection. Often I watch the temps where the wine is going and contact the buyer to discuss. Wineries are very protective of their children. Cheers! jim

LOL you should be a politician! Well I was done winewooting until the fall because I was nervous of the temps, but I just can't pass up this interesting set of Washington reds (of which I have none in my stores.) In for 2 for the first time! Hope you keep an eye on these KS temps for me ;)

Thanks.

Had a licensing call with the guys from that little tech company in Redmond today and had to ask about this winery/wines....good comments on the winery and Red Mountain. One of the attorneys gushed over the Syrah. I'm always looking for new wineries/new wines to add to my list..

Do you guys have a mailing list?

In for 2!! Cautiously optimistic that this may be a real gem. A little gift to myself on this hump day!!

Yeah, I'd be all over this, except I'm on a BIWBM and I've still bought 8 bottles since the 1st and I need to fix my cellar or buy a new one. FML.

As a relative newcomer to the discussion, I hesitate to correct such a pillar of the community as Cesare, but I believe his posted CT link to the Preface is incorrect. He linked to the 2006 Preface Bordeaux Blend, not the 2006 Preface Cabernet. Here is the correct link:

When I first looked last night I didn't think I was interested, but checking back now and reading all the posts, I am in for 2.

Just goes to show how great the quality of discussion is around here. I am getting an education in wine by hanging around with y'all. My appreciation goes out to woot and the community, and to the wineries. Cheers.
