Happy Monday! My wretched cat insists on sleeping on my laptop keyboard every time I step away for one minute. Usually she only manages to activate full screen mode, but today she was able to change the display from landscape to portrait.

Lucky for her she's very cute and snuggly.

Why, because the keyboard is so comfortable? Did you figure out how to get your screen back to original order?

The Boxee netflix app generated a lot of stutter without the motion enhancement, as did some of my .mkv files. Playing around with it left using one of 3 different modes depending on the video in question. I still need to calibrate the thing, but it looks amazing.

2013: 33 bottles. Last wine.woot: Diamond Ridge Cab Franc. Last split: Scott Harvey Barbera

its so freakishly clear it Noooooooos with my head. It actually looks 3d its so clear. That's most likely my next "large" TV. I got a 37" Panasonic not too long ago for the bedroom.

Growing up, I always thought how awesome it would be to have a 32" TV, but figured I'd never be able to afford it. Now, I can't think of any reason I'd buy a TV that small, and I'm by no means well off Crazy.

The computer is warm, so she wants to sleep there. I got the screen back to normal but it was a pain navigating the mouse around!

Monitors are the one I can't get over, that you can get a 20" for only a hundred bucks is insane.

Yeah, but the 20" monitors now have fewer pixels than the ones of 5 years ago before "HD" became all the rage. Sure it was a huge step forward for TV content, but a "full HD" monitor for a computer is a huge step backward.

On another note, Alyssa has 57,032 votes for the Mobility Awareness Wheelchair van giveaway. Please consider voting for Alyssa as the contest ends by the end of today!

bahwm's comment: Thank you to everybody who voted during this past month. I'll keep you posted with the results.

Had a great sponsored wine seminar on campus today. A representative from D.O. Rueda came to chat and try a few of their wines.

Wines on the docket were:
1) Pradorey Classic Verdejo Though the 2011 cintage
2) Oro De Castilla Verdejo Again, 2011 vintage
3) Protos Verdejo Again 2011 Vintage
4) Villa Narcisa Verdejo
5) Jose Pariente Verdejo
6) Belondrade

Out of the list, I liked 4 and 5 the best... 4 had this aroma of pineapple which I loved for some reason, and 5 was very bitter... another odd trait that I love. Not loved by many of the others.

I dont' know what my deal is the last two weeks. I just have no motivation at all at work. I mean, just none. I wouldn't say I'm ever really motivated, but this is bad.

Is it sad that I flashed on "The Amaranth Vale", a location in Jim Butcher's Codex Alera novels?

Although I guess it could be worse. We'd have to start calling bowtie "Sir Knight"!
