So I'm sure it could be HS in places.
You have to have a Bishop, so I bet in some places they can do more than one grade in one ceremony.

Made it back from a nice visit with my cousin and her family in time for Mrs. Ice to help the PR group with the election results.

I don't think I was the only factor... I just helped him realize that he wanted other things in life that he would have to give up for the priesthood, and that working with the youth was not going to be as fulfilling to him as parenting.

Get some good rest, that's my plans for next weekend.

Most atheists I know have more knowledge of religions than most beleivers I know.

I bet they do. Most people are born into a religion and either practice it or not. Not many people study other religions.

I would, in theory, like to know the basics of other religions, and a little about how it works in real life.
But I usually zone out even reading the wikopedia page.

Like Sikhism. I see these guys all around the neighborhood. Other than it isn't Muslim and they never cut their hair, I don't know much.
They are all new immigrants. So they don't speak english. I tried to tell the tan turban grandfather there were ducklings in the park his grandson would like to see, Nope. He had no clue what I was saying.
(There is tan turban guy and orange turban guy that I see every day)
So, basically I know Catholic, Jewish and some day to day life Muslim.
My kids weren't friend with any Sikhs. There were less in the area when they went to school.

I grew up in an LDS community. I was raised "Sunday Baptist" (only really practiced on Sundays - but my grandfather was a minister so I probably know a bit more than most Sunday Baptists). Now we are Non-denom Christian, which generally follows protestant practices with no formal ceremonies other than baptism, weddings, funerals, and a routine observance of communion.

I only ever knew a handful of Catholics, but when most people were LDS, you were either Christian, Not, or LDS, so denominations only really mattered on Sunday. I know a few Atheists, some studied religions, some not. Since we've lived in our current town I've gotten to know some Bahai - which is interesting, talked to some Muslims, but they are very reserved about talking to others, and met my first Jewish person - although she was married to a Christian so her kids are both. I've met others online. I do think that a general understanding of the faiths, customs, and ceremonies is helpful in understanding each other. That's why I like it when dname dumbs down Catholicism and shares it with me.

No, Mother's Day weekend has made things excessively slow here. I won't say I'm not getting a little pampered, but I've also got a deadline ruining my weekend. Next weekend is going to be all down time though.

Quiet day today.
Took m-i-l to church, bought them lunch then had a long nap. When I got up I had Mrs. Ice supervise(with 911 on speed dial) while I installed some solar rope lighting high up in the tree in our backyard.They look kinda crappy in the day but quite nice now that the sun had set.
