“In the entire world there are only a few sounds that bring joy to all but the most jaded. One is the murmur of a kitten purring. Another is the thwack of a well-pitched baseball hitting a perfectly swung bat. And the third is the pop of a cork being pulled from a bottle of wine.” —George Taber

I haven't tried the merlot yet, but the cab is excellent! Auto-buy.

a quick red thru. CT and the previous offering indicate this to be a really good deal....

How much garlic did it take to make this wine from Gilroy?

In for one. Nice wootoff this time, though I missed the bags and some of the nicer wines. See you all on the next wines as they come available.

Just me.

Yeah - nice woot off. Think they are making up for the April fools thing. I missed the Bunnies Ogling Carrots also - sleeping, meeting and driving - oh well. This one interested me - so in for one also.

In for more! Just popped the Merlot, it has a nice long finish and it's very drinkable all by itself. It's a little hot at first but if it's anything like the Cab it will open up nicely as it has some time to decant.

This is my 3rd woot for JasonStephens wine. Becoming an autobuy for me.

I also love how after all the flak from last time - they still kept the Bordeaux style mix in the title. Doesn't personally bother me - just thought it was funny.

Hang in there Dale, we may just find a wonderful sleeper next. Then again, we could have a first time appearance of Trader Joe's 2 buck chuck at a case for 23.99 plus the $5 shipping.

This would be $132.08 shipped to NYC from vineyard. So this offer is 51% off. Wish all woot offers were this good, if not better ;)

A good way to end the woot.off.

They added "Style" to the title, last time it just said "Bordeaux Mix". I believe it was blamed on a limit to the number of characters that could be used in the title, apparently they have now made the necessary modifications.

That actually confused me. I jumped right on this when it came up and initially I assumed this offer was the same as the last one and loaded up the cart because my notes said to buy more. But during checkout the wording was different so I assumed it was a different offer. I was concerned about a sellout if I took the time to research the offer ( as has happened more than once during this WO). So I dropped the quantity to one and ordered based on past good experience with the winery.

After the purchase it was obvious it was the same offer as last time which made me sad I did not buy more. But when I pushed the final button I figured it was better to get one now rather than none later.

I know. I keep thinking that summer is upon us and ground shipping is risky. Ive already ordered kurtz boundary row shiraz, tapestry the vincent shiraz, Miller Wine Works Syrah Sage Canyon Vineyard, etc. Had some credits which kept btls to + or - $15.

The $7 summer shipping is nice, but to Florida its brutal because of the transcontinential heat in a trailer on a railcar.

Last year the tracking was sketchy, and it was 2 days to Florida once it hit the east coast hub.

You might try and contact the Woot gods to up your order. Not always possible during a Woot off but worth a shot.

Gotta know what a nice red from Gilroy tastes like. In for one.

Incidentally, ever had Garlic Ice Cream from there? It's actually pretty good.

Although this is over - in case anyone searches this thread if it's offered again...

Purchased this back in February and so far we've only opened a bottle of the Merlot.

Drank it along with steak off the grill and some roasted potatoes - paired very well. Very smooth wine. I would definitely concur with the current 90 pt average on CT.

Update 5/2 - had a bottle of the Cabernet Sauvignon with a pan-seared ribeye the other night and it was spectacular.

Highly recommend both of these!

They told me no, "quantities are limited in a woot-off", which isn't quite true in this case. There was still at least half a bar left when this went away at midnight. Bummed, because I wanted two but somehow only hit the One button..

As God is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly.

Really slow shipping on this one. Wonder if they will use fedex 2 day since its getting warm here in the Southeast?

Still hasn't shipped. Wish they would hurry. I'm looking forward to this wine.

Three weeks since ordering and nothing. As a rule wine.woot doesn't set any speed records on shipping, but this may be the slowest I've ever seen... I guess that's still a record.

Just got the wine in today. 2 of the bottles were leaking and all 4 of them seem like they were cooking in the box. Such a shame... Was really excited to try the wine.
