“In the entire world there are only a few sounds that bring joy to all but the most jaded. One is the murmur of a kitten purring. Another is the thwack of a well-pitched baseball hitting a perfectly swung bat. And the third is the pop of a cork being pulled from a bottle of wine.” —George Taber

Does this mean that some of Scott's Old Vine Zin might wind up in a bag o carp?

I was trying to figure out if I had bought this before and got a call at work. By the time I got back it had sold out already. Now I get a second chance, so in for 2.

Way too good for that. Although we really, really do need a version of the Bunnies Ogling Carrots over here on wine.woot.

Anywho - I missed the earlier 1869 as I was stuck in a meeting - so maxed out on this one.

Scott Harvey is always an autobuy when I'm lucky enough to catch it.

dang it! just dang it! missed it again...the only time i've been lucky enough to pick this up is when it was offered on lot18. oh well. was also hoping to get some wellington zin. i enjoyed the '05 from the vertical offered awhile ago. but his stuff seems to have been selling out when first offered (other than the victory, which was really nice, but posh).

i'll open a bottle of something nice to console me.

I missed it the second time around as well. To bad I didn't know. Anyway was having way to much fun with the cousins drinking some of this wine with Lake Erie Perch.

I got in on the first offer of the 1869, but I'm assuming they're shipped out together. Anyway, posted this in the first offer forum:

Anticipated Ship Date: 5/2
Estimated Delivery (to NC): 5/9

The only activity is shipment info sent to FedEx on 5/2.

Well it finally shipped. The original label went out on May 2, but now it is showing that it will not arrive until May 15.

Hopefully it hasn't been sitting on a tarmac somewhere
