Bouncing again, and this time for real. I guarantee that the cases do not contain more than 12 bottles each.

The last time I did it was on 3/1/12, so not sure when this changes, but must have been recent.

Got my taxes done over the weekend. What a bummer!! Money from the Feds go to the locals. Something like my paycheck and this website!!! I've been holding back lately since I had that flu that everyone seems to have for 3-4 weeks.

I thought that I had the 2006 in my stash, but it turns out to be the 2005. Pressed the button for two to go along with the 2005.

Peter's wines are always an autobuy, only this time I hit the two instead of the three because of taxes and having to prep the boat for the upcoming season!

On a side note, Peter, any chance of you tossing some of your port woot's way? Seem like a nice small-lot woot-off item to me!

Actually went through and updated CT Saturday (a day long process, since most of my wine wasn't in there). Got about 80% of the wine listed now. And found that I have a rather large Wellington contingent. Well, duh!

Perhaps its the wine needing more time, but personally, I have found the Karen to be the least favourite of the 3 of these.

As is - they are all good.

Most of us around here prefer the Karren on the second day. It definiltely will benefit from aeration/splashing/decanting. The 2006 is readier than the 2005 at this point, but still is a bit tight.

Last night I had resolve. I really did. I've got boxes of other purchases sitting in an out of the way corner of the basement rec room - I tell myself I'm just getting stocked up ahead of summer shipping season. And I saw the Wellington a little bit after it came up and I said, "it's OK. You've got more than enough juice already."

But then I remembered Saturday when I was putting my tax records away in a little enclosed storage area that is under than stairway and against the house foundation. Now, that spot behind the files just also happens to make a nice constant temperature wine storage area, because it's almost like a grotto back there, being against the foundation wall and sealed off by boxes of documents and paper. And I thought about the Wellington syrahs I had stored there (from one of my very early wine.woot purchases) that were starting to get lonely, and needed some new company.

And my SIWBM that was so strong last night was suddenly crumbling. I suppose it was a bit like observing the Israelites circling the city of Jericho, while having a sense of knowing where things were headed. Then when I saw the bouncing button it was like Joshua sounding the trumpet. The SIWBM came crashing down and I clicked the button.

I did have the restraint to only purchase one. And after they arrive I doubt they will be heard from again for five or six years.

I would speculate it may just be due to the limited stock and impending sell-out. At least I hope that's it.

WD, TT, can either of you confirm or deny?

Are you talking about me or Luchesi? [No man insults me with impunity.]

Alas, like a fool I did not buy it at wine.woot. I should have consulted with you before buying but I was afraid I might miss out on a good deal. Perhaps I could take you to my grotto so you could sample some and advise me whether I made a good purchase.

I think it depends on who receives your request. I have had a couple shot down and a couple approved. Date didn't seem to be a deciding factor. My guess is they don't up orders, but if the customer service person that gets your request is nice, they contact the vineyard to see if there is availability.

A very good reason for woot to move their day up to coincide with EST ;)

Yep.

Like when the Truchard tempranillo came up last summer and sold out while some right coasters were still making their morning coffee. That one went to west coasters who checked before turning in for the night got in on the offer and east coasters who checked the site in the morning.
