How about Google+ or non social media for those of us that don't trust facebook?

The Candy Basket caramels rock!
How do these compare, and, how will they ship?

calliejohn wrote:I absolutely freaked out when I saw Woot was selling these, I had completely forgotten about them for the last couple years. My grandparents live in Rancho Mirage and I picked these up at a street fair five years ago. The story behind them is that a few high school kids wanted to take a senior trip but had to make the money themselves, they started making this toffee to fundraise and it became massively popular locally and apparently has even achieved Woot status. These are DELICIOUS, in for three

You know you've hit it big when you reach Woot status...Thanks goes to Winegeorge...He's the one with the good eye

No comparison...The caramels are the king

FedEx dumpost is correct

This Toffee is amazing. Crumbly, doesn't stick to my teeth. Buttery and sweet. I just ordered some on Monday for some visiting relatives to take back to Korea with them. These two orders are mine!!!

Just got mine... the toppers bag was open, no big deal, threw it into the freezer. The toffee itself is good but I was expecting more after the reviews. IMHO it's too expensive for what you get. It was a bit more "candy-like" than the best toffees I've had. Maybe my batch was overcooked? It lacked the smoothness of great homemade toffee and was a bit... dare I say... like a Heath bar?

It's better than a Heath bar for sure but there is much better toffee out there. It's not even close to the buttery melty smoothness from The Toffee House http://www.thetoffeehouse.com/

Just one person's opinion. That said, it likely won't last a couple days ;)

ash =o)

This dandy candy arrived! Packaged beautifully, with really wonderful detailing. The boxes the candy are packaged in are first rate...beautiful and I'm not talking about the shipping box (although it was nice as shipping boxes go...).

Some of the pieces of toffee are gigantic slabs of lishcandyness and some are wafer thin. At first I thought the marble slabs of uber thickness would be my fave ---but actually the wafer thin won out. I just let them melt on my tongue. Delightful!

This is a lot of candy and while Candy Basket is the overall value leader as far as cost and deliciousness, this Brandini Toffee is a nice taste treat while I wait for Candy Basket to make its way back to Woot, once again.

Brandini gets First Place for packaging; it's very high-end and would make a memorable gift. The back story is lovely as well.

Brandini is the perfect balanced match with its crisp toffee to Candy Basket's sudden-death-ecstasy softness and smoothness of its salted caramels.

Thanks Woot for turning me on to both these yummy companies.
