ThunderThighs wrote:THANKS! We have one more tomorrow night and then Woot! Clue! is on hiatus for a while while we evaluate the data and see how to improve. And boy, have I been collecting data!
How does one interpret data from something like this? Or is it more of a "I feel that this worked well, but this area needs improvement" thing? Are there numbers and trends involved? (I am a computational chemist)

ThunderThighs wrote:Yes, I've been counting participants since it started along with user names so we can see how many times people played. How many unique players. How long each game lasted. The number of participants has been slowly climbing which is great.
As I've said (and Gatzby agrees), this has been quite a success. It was my experiment to see how a community game would work. Now we look it over and see what we can do to improve it, reach more people, etc.
Cool. It'd be interesting to see all that stuff. I've been using forums and their precursors (newsgroups, etc) since the early 90's, and this has been one of the most fun web games I've played in years. Web 2.0 is so overrated. With the exception of Twitter. It's like newsgroups and IRC had some kind of bastard offspring...

mschauber wrote:I'd suggest having the game be it's own forum thread. Because the game goes on for a while and many posts are made, it makes it quite difficult to get through the comments about the actual daily deal.
And maybe use a live refreshing RSS feed gadget (like live twitter gadgets or even google search) so we can follow it more easily. Constantly refreshing and scrolling up/down is a pain and all the refreshing is an extra load on the servers and use of bandwidth that could be avoided.
Just my 2 cents. Should I be sending my suggestions to @Gatzby directly?
good suggestions, i'm sure they can use all the tips they can get. here's Gatzby's PM link

I remember my first modem~ 300 baud, and you had to dial the number by hand and slam the phone into the rubber cuffs, and start the comms program.

If I remember correctly from Trinity "The grass drags you back to the sidewalk kicking and screaming". I think I still have the glow in the dark plastic rock from Wishbringer as well somewhere.
