Or is because something else is about to happen that we don't know about?

It's bad enough we enable each other, but when other wineries add to the enabling, the credit card bites the dust.

By the way - I purchased the previous Gilbert offering. It was excellent wine.

I don't have any fear of Rose. That would be rediculous. It's wine for goodness sakes.!

In for 2.

Drink.
Be Happy.

Wish I could say its because they all know Gilbert, but I'd put my money on the Rose instead.

I tried to resist but I am weak to anything with Mourvedre. Plus, I have to give props to a Washington winery on wine.woot! Yay!!! I would love to see more from my state. I have yet to visit the GC tasting room, but got their January 2011 offering (yum!) and live nearby in the heart of the awesome WA wine country.

Can any industry vets out there confirm my theory?

As a winery owner and winemaker, I have always enjoyed dry rose wines. They are absolutely fabulous with more flavorful seafood dishes (think south of France) and wonderful before a meal as well.

I tried a 10-year old rose from Spain (Rioja)- Lopez de Heredia 'Vina Tondonia'. 'Twas ridiculously delicious.

so, you reminded me that I had a 1999 bottle of Spanish Rose, it's open and I'm about to try it, hope it's as good as yours.

If you're ever in Yakima, go for a late night glass of Cab and ask for their magical chocolate lava cakes. The live music in the basement is great too. And stumble across the street to Northtown Coffee in the morning, so good.

Any other suggestions? I'll be in Yakima in May. I've sent you a private message. Thanks!

I know that whenever we release a rose it sells out quickly. Between our wine club - and our retail customers in IL, I can't keep it in stock.

From all accounts, it's average folks who are buying it - and my retail customers tell me, especially in IL, that their customers really like dry Rose's.

As for me, I started drinking dry rose's back in the 80's and have always enjoyed them.

Just received 2 tracking numbers for this, but I only ordered one... Anyone know what's up? One weighs 14lbs and the other 1lb.

Same thing here.
EDIT: Clarification from woot

Dear trifecta trifecta -

Sometimes two is worse than one. Two tornadoes. Two dates for the prom. And two tracking numbers for your order for the Gilbert Cellars Washington Mix.

What happened was, the initial tracking data was wrong, so we had to email you again with the corrected information. just forget that first email. Delete it. Kill it with fire. Forget it ever existed. Only the second tracking email matters.

Sorry for the confusion. And if you have any further questions, feel free to email us at service@woot.com. (Two emails not necessary - one will do the trick just fine.)

Thanks thanks -
