Cavedoni Botte Piccola Italian Balsamic - next please

How was this. Guests dranks this before I got a chance to sample this from the last Davis offer. I never got any feed back on how it is. I did not prefer their Chard (not in the offer, just a bit sweet for me)

Just three bottles? I usually like the twos or threes of good bottles up here, but surely this Luke would work better with the fours.

Any idea of the R/S on this? Is this dry? Floral of minerally? I need answers!

Could someone please tell me if wine.woot has non CA wines? I'd like to get some Australian wines!

Up for a whole 30 seconds or so before 1st buyer... Hmm. I was tempted just to buy knowing that I was refreshing and not seeing any purchases... gotta be first complex showing.

I am reallllly tempted by this one. White Rhone blends are right up my power alley for crabcakes, and we are just entering the season here on the Chesapeake Bay.

A mouthful of rich fruit is highlighted by floral and mineral notes in both the nose and on the palate! Amazing match to any seafood, simple bread and cheese or by itself on the patio. They occasionally have US, non-CA wines. There are also occasionally some international wines, though these are "usually" Italian wines. I might recall seeing one or two Australian wines, but they are very rare to pop up on here.

Any chance the Davis Zin will show up or the Rouge will return on this Woot Off?

Is that a different year? The woot write-up says 660 cases.

My notes on the previous offer , which was a 2008:

"Fragrant aromas, peach-nectarine-apricot fruit, with a clean, dry finish. As it warmed, apricot flavor developed beautifully. Stands on its own or with seafood or chicken. BUY MORE"

I just took my own advice.

This is being offered at a 39% discount over the winery price, shipped to a state west of the Mississippi. Bigger discount of you are east of the Miss.

This wine rocks, trust me on this one. Myself and friends of mine have purchased well over a case of the 2009 as well as a bunch of the 2008. It is a great wine and not the regular old chardonnay or sav blanc. Guy Davis is the man right now, just visited during barrel tasting weekend and bought a case and a half of his future Pinot Noirs....this is a no lose situation!!!

I just had to get one. this is such a good deal. this goes great with a nice seafood pasta. can't wait to have friends over to open a bottle when it gets here.

How do the 2008 and 2009 compare?

Well twist my arm....I'll give it a go. In for 1!

I went for it. Second buy on here after the 2 cases of White Oaks the other day. Hoping for the best and stocking up on some delicious wine!
